Imagination Is the Only Escape
Imagination Is the Only Escape was an unreleased educational video game project by Luc Bernard, originally developed for the Nintendo DS and later considered for WiiWare. First announced in 2008, the game was intended to teach children about the Holocaust through the eyes of a young Jewish boy in Nazi-occupied France. Although it drew some media attention due to its sensitive subject matter[1], the game was never released. Bernard later reworked the concept into a new project titled The Light in the Darkness, which was released in 2023. Unlike its predecessor, The Light in the Darkness reached completion and was made available for free, offering a historically grounded portrayal of a Polish-Jewish family's experience during the Holocaust in Vichy France.[2] See alsoReferences
