Little Disasters is an upcoming 2025 television series set to broadcast on Paramount+. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Sarah Vaughan with the script by Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke. It is directed by Eva Sigurdardottir and produced by Roughcut Television, in association with Fremantle. It is starring Jo Joyner, Diane Kruger and Ben Bailey Smith. It is set to be released on Paramount+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 22 May 2025.

Premise

An A+E doctor treating an unexplained head injury on the child of one her best friends faces the dilemma of whether to subsequently make a report to child social services.^[1]

Production

The six-part series was commissioned by Paramount+ in June 2024.^[2] It is produced by Roughcut Television in association with Fremantle. Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke adapted the series for the screen from the Sarah Vaughan novel Little Disasters (2020), with Roughcut Television executive producers Ash Atalla, Alex Smith and Marianna Abbotts alongside Vaughan, as well as Simon Judd for Fremantle. Eva Sigurdardottir is the director, and Myf Hopkins is the series producer.^[3]

The cast is led by Diane Kruger and Jo Joyner, who add joined by Emily Taaffe, Shelley Conn, Patrick Baladi, Stephen Campbell Moore, JJ Feild, and Ben Bailey Smith.^[4]

Filming took place in Budapest in June and July 2024.^[1]^[5] Filming also took place in London.^[6] First-look images from filming were released in December 2024.^[7]
