Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition is the third celebrity season and the eighteenth overall season of the Philippine reality show Pinoy Big Brother. It premiered on March 9, 2025, on GMA Network. It is the first season to air on GMA and the first full celebrity edition season to air since 2008. Furthermore, this is the first season of Pinoy Big Brother to not air on ABS-CBN's domestic television channels: Kapamilya Channel and A2Z. The season features celebrities signed to the talent agencies Star Magic and Sparkle GMA Artist Center as housemates.
On January 27, 2025, during a broadcast of the newscast 24 Oras, actress-presenter Iya Villania announced that the new season of Pinoy Big Brother would air on GMA Network, marking the franchise's debut broadcast on the network.[1] As series' third celebrity edition, subtitled Collab, the season's cast would be composed of artists from the talent agencies Star Magic and Sparkle GMA Artist Center.[2] The following day, a contract signing between the executives from ABS-CBN Studios and GMA Network was held in Quezon City.[3]Principal photography commenced on March 9, 2025.[4]
The season premiered on March 9, 2025, on the network's Sunday night line up.[8] Episodes air on GMA Network during weeknights at 10:05 PM (PST) on the network's Prime line up, and weekends at 6:15 PM (PST).[9] Aside from its television broadcast, the season also airs online through Kapuso Stream, Kapamilya Online Live[b] and iWantTFC.[10]
A companion show, Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition Updates, hosted by Garcia, airs every Monday to Friday twice on GMA—first before the timeslot of TiktoClock and second before Family Feud.[11] A digital companion show, Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition OnlineVerse,[12] airs every Saturday during the commercial gap on Kapuso Stream and Kapamilya Online Live.[citation needed]
Theme songs
"Sikat Ang Pinoy" (English: Filipinos Are Famous) was reinterpreted for the fourth time in the franchise's history, with a new version performed by Darren Espanto and Julie Anne San Jose.[13] It was officially introduced during the season's opening on March 9, 2025, marking its first live performance.[14] Meanwhile, "Pinoy Ako" (English: I'm a Filipino) remained the primary theme for the show's musical scoring. Espanto’s single, "Paalam Muna Sandali" (English: Goodbye for a Moment), was selected as the eviction song for the season.[15]
Format
Deviating from the usual the format of the show, the format of this edition consisting of two parts:
The Duo formation wherein the housemates frequently formed by randomly pairing housemates through tasks and challenges. These pairings may change periodically, requiring housemates to adapt to new dynamics.
The Duo nomination wherein two housemates, acting as one, will nominate two other duos for eviction, with the first receiving three points and the second receiving one point. The top three duos (or more if there is a tie) with the most nomination points will be put forward for public vote.
Furthermore, Big Brother has the authority to grant immunity or an automatic nomination to a housemate, primarily due to twists or violations. A nomination round may be paused due to pending tasks, challenges, or twists.
Twists
The meaning of the Collab twist:
Sparkle and Star Magic artists: For the first time in Pinoy Big Brother history, Sparkle artists competed alongside Star Magic artists.
Duos: In this season, housemates compete in duos. On Day 2, the housemates were instructed to pair themselves with one another, with each pair consisting of a Star Magic and Sparkle housemate. As part of the format, these pairs will compete, nominate, strategize, or be evicted together throughout the season until the finale, where a duo will be named a winner. These pairs will be shuffled until a certain point during the season.[16] The introduction of this twist marks a significant change in the show's format, a first in its 20-year history.[17]
Duo Battles: Starting from the second nomination cycle, the duos competed against each other for immunity in the upcoming nomination round.
Partnership with Maya: Maya retained its partnership with Pinoy Big Brother, which was carried over from Gen 11, as the season's official finance and voting partner, with the following twists inserted into the season:
Save or Spend Weekly Task: In the event that the housemates win their weekly task beginning in Week 2, they will be able to manage their weekly budget, which will be deposited through Maya. If they succeed in their weekly task, they will receive ₱50,000; otherwise, they receive ₱30,000. Housemates have two options: they can spend a portion of their weekly budget for the week or save it and watch it grow with an interest rate of up to 15% (potentially growing to ₱200,000). Unlike in Gen 11, where the amount was given to the housemate who won a challenge, the amount for this season will be determined at a later date and donated to a charity of the housemates' choice.
Vote to Save: Voting is still done through the Maya app. Unlike Gen 11, which only gave 15 chances to vote per voting day (except for the penultimate and finale weeks of Gen 11, which allowed unlimited votes), this season gives 30, which is double the original amount. Starting from the fourth nomination round, viewers have the additional option to give 300 or 500 save votes to a nominated housemate of their choice.
Immunity Shield: First unveiled on Day 9, the Immunity Shield necklace grants the wearer immunity for the following nomination round.[18]
Eviction Room: Also carried over from Gen 11, originally named "Big Brother's Gameroom", instead of the usual announcements in the living area, this season's eviction callout will be a head-to-head, with two nominated housemates entering the eviction room and the host announcing the results. In the event that there are even-numbered or more than three nominees, the first safe will be named in the living area before the two nominees are determined, after which they will proceed to the eviction room, where one will be saved and will return to the house and the other will be evicted.[19]
The Big Comeback: On Day 64, the hosts announced that there will be a Wild Card Round for the evicted housemates, with an exception to Michael and Emilio due to their prior commitments, using Maya where viewers will have the power to vote to bring back one Sparkle housemate and one Star Magic housemate that deserve to continue his/her journey inside the house. The results were announced on Day 71. The voting process was conducted individually and daily voting limit will also apply.
Big Intensity Challenges: On Day 72, Big Brother announced that the housemates would determine the final duo through a series of challenges. The Sparkle housemates faced off against fellow Sparkle housemates, while the Star Magic housemates faced off against fellow Star Magic housemates.
Secret Room: On Day 79, Big Brother isolated the four Big Intensity Challenge winners, namely AZ, Esnyr, Shuvee, and Ralph to a secret room for a set period of time. After a certain period of time, these four housemates swapped rooms with the nominated housemates. More information about this twist will be revealed soon.
Housemates
On March 9, 2025, fifteen celebrity housemates entered the house. The first seven to enter were artists from Sparkle, followed by seven artists from Star Magic.[20] Sparkle artist Michael Sager was the last one to enter that night.[4] On March 18, 2025, Bianca de Vera of Star Magic entered the house.[21] On March 30, 2025, Emilio Daez of Star Magic and Vince Maristela of Sparkle were the 17th and 18th housemates to enter the house.[22] On April 13, 2025, Xyriel Manabat of Star Magic and Shuvee Etrata of Sparkle became the last two housemates to enter the house.[23]
A total of twenty people entered the house, ten each from two agencies, the most number of housemates in a celebrity edition of Pinoy Big Brother.
Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemates
Day 1: Star Magic actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi entered the house during the premiere night. Big Brother gave her a secret task, wherein she has to convince all the housemates that she is a housemate. She was also tasked to give gifts to three housemates.[29] Host Mavy Legaspi was also required to stay in the house during the end of the premiere night as a consequence for failing a task he and fellow hosts, Gabbi Garcia, Alexa Ilacad and Melai Cantiveros, received from Big Brother.[30] Alawi left the house on Day 7 while Legaspi left the house on the night of Day 5.[31][32]
Day 14: Host Gabbi Garcia entered the house to initiate her in her role as a new host.[33] She left the house on Day 17.[34]

Day 21: Sparkle actress and Miss Universe Philippines 2023Michelle Dee entered the house for mentoring the housemates about addressing long-standing misconceptions. Dee also mentored the housemates for ramp modelling for the Rampa Apmar weekly task.[19] She left the house on Day 24.
Day 28: Sparkle actress Sanya Lopez entered the house as she became a searcher for a dating game. She also promoted her upcoming film Samahan ng mga Makasalanan (transl. Fellowship of the Sinful).[36]
Day 30: Sparkle artist and Korean actor Ji Soo entered the house.[37] He left the house on Day 32.
Day 50: Star Magic actor Donny Pangilinan entered the house in the role of messenger, assisting the housemates with their Shoot Para Sa Sulat weekly task.[39] His pet dog named Crinkles also entered the house on Day 53. Host Robi Domingo also entered the house pretending to be Belle Mariano. Donny and Crinkles left the house together that day.
Day 57: Sparkle actor David Licauco entered the house in the role of fitness instructor. He left the house on Day 62.[40]
Day 64: Dexter Duran, a circus coach and performer of Manila's Finest Circus Entertainment, entered the house for mentoring the housemates for the The Big Carnival Concert weekly task.

Days 70–71: Fifty people who secured tickets on a first-come, first-served basis by paying ₱20,000 will enter the house to attend The Big Carnival Concert. The mothers of AZ and Klarisse were part of the first show's audience, and the second show's audience included the mothers of Vince and Mika, Brent's replacement. Notably, Mika's mother attended the concert virtually due to being abroad. This was the Spin Disc team's reward for winning the Golden Seats Challenge
Day 78: Sparkle actress Bianca Umali entered the house. She introduced herself as "B", as to prevent getting confused with a housemate of a same name.[42]

Twinkle Twinkle Big Star The housemates and houseguests (in duos) must use two giant batteries to continually light a "big star" by placing them in correct contact points placed throughout the frame in front of the said star. The housemates and houseguests must only make eight mistakes or less in the said task. Once a duo (a member or both) makes a mistake, they will no longer be allowed to participate in the weekly task.[43]
Unbeknownst to the housemates, if they successfully complete the task within the final sixty minutes, Big Brother will donate ₱60,000.00 (US$1,045) to a charity.[31]
One-shot Wonder The housemates must create and produce a short film which features Esnyr's nine characters in each of the different scenes and locations. To win the task, the housemates must create a smooth one-shot film with a timeframe between 18 minutes and 18 minutes and 59 seconds without mistakes.[45]
Pinoy Big Pares The housemates must prepare, cook, and sell two different kinds of food (they chose pares and tokwa't baboy) for two consecutive days (March 27 and 28), from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. To win the task, the housemates must double the amount of investment from ₱20,000.00 (US$350) capital.[46]
Rampa Apmar Housemates had to walk down (rampa) a very narrow runway backwards (apmar) during a fashion show at the end of the week. Each housemate needed to design and model two types of clothes: a cloak that contains misconceptions about the housemate and an innerwear that reveals who they really are. They were only allowed to make a maximum of five mistakes[WT 3] during the fashion show, with the mistake being going out of bounds.
Twin Towers of Love The housemates, divided into two groups, must stack a tower of cups five-feet tall on a suspended platform with a half-heart base. The two groups must carry the platforms to the middle of the pool and bring them together to form the heart. To win, the housemates should be able to build the towers and form the heart in 100 minutes. Furthermore, the heart should remain whole for 10 seconds.[WT 5]

When You Say Nothing at All For Holy Week, the housemates only had 20 hours to speak. They can choose when do they speak, but only one group (male or female housemates) may speak at a time. If the female housemates are speaking, the male housemates cannot speak, and vice versa. Additionally, they must signal speaking restrictions using a traffic light system: red light indicates male housemates cannot speak, yellow light indicates female housemates cannot speak, and green light indicates all housemates cannot speak. An hour is deducted for every mistake.
Flip or Flop The nominated duos must flip bottles upright with the housemates' help. Each nomination point equals one bottle to flip: Emilio and Michael (5), Dustin and Ralph (5), Brent and Vince (13). Only one duo flips at a time — if any standing bottle falls, it's deducted. Successfully flipping 12 bottles by the third day gets them 50% of the weekly budget, while flipping all 23 bottles gets them the full weekly budget.[WT 7]

The Big Carnival Concert The housemates must do seven production numbers for two live shows at the end of the week (Days 70 to 71). Three of these production numbers are circus acts which are to be done by two duos each. At stake for each circus act is one-third of the weekly budget. To win, there must be at least one duo in the act that did not commit any mistake in the first show (Day 70).[WT 8]
The Big Carnival Concert weekly task result (First show)
The Big Taguan (The Big Hiding) The male housemates[WT 11] should hide two things from the female housemates for the entire week. These things are marked with red ribbons. These "things" were revealed to be the returning Star Magic housemate Ralph and Sparkle housemate Charlie. Half of the weekly budget is at stake per "thing."
^Although the video's length (18 minutes and 25 seconds) was within the time limit, the housemates committed 3 mistakes. These include the reflection of housemates not involved in the current scene or of the cameraman being seen in the mirror and a housemate getting caught in a different scene.
^On the second day, the task leaders requested more stocks since their supplies were running low. These stocks are worth ₱3,098.00 (US$54). Therefore, the total investment to be doubled by the housemates is ₱23,098.00 (US$403).
^Big Brother clarified that all mistakes made by a single housemate will be treated as one mistake for the weekly task.
^Except for Josh, Michael, and Will, all of the housemates committed a mistake, leading to a total of 13 mistakes, with everyone from the second group committing a mistake.
^Since Ji-Soo was able to deliver three hugot lines for the P-drama task, the housemates were able to remove a total of three layers across both towers.
^On the final day, the housemates had less than two hours to speak. However, they committed a whopping twenty-one mistakes dooming them to their third failed weekly task.
^By the third day, the housemates were able to reach the 12-bottle mark, temporarily guaranteeing them 50% of the weekly budget. However, Big Brother made an offer to the task leaders Emilio and Vince. Should they opt to try getting the full weekly budget, they only need to flip the remaining 11 bottles. However, only the three nominated duos can do this. Furthermore, failing to flip all 11 bottles means no weekly budget. The task leaders decided to proceed with the task. Emilio and Michael flipped 11 bottles, handing them the victory for this weekly task and the full weekly budget.
^Fifty people from the outside world who secured tickets on a first-come, first-served basis by paying ₱20,000 will enter the house to attend The Big Carnival Concert. The ticket package includes a photo opportunity with the housemates, confession room experience, signed housemate t-shirt, food and drinks, photo opportunities at the house facade and main lobby. The earned ticket sales will proceed to the PBB Collab Charity Mission.
^ abBianca was unable to participate in the show because of an ankle injury sustained during rehearsals. Instead, she became the concert's emcee.
^The housemates received 2/3 of the weekly budget on the first show after they passed 2 out of 3 circus acts. With 2 more acts passing at the second show, the housemates received 133% of the weekly budget.
^As an additional reward for winning the first Big Intensity Challenge, Shuvee was informed about the male housemates' secret weekly task. This meant that she was allowed to help the boys for the rest of the task.
^The housemates received 50% of the weekly budget after the male housemates successfully hiding Ralph for the entire week.

In addition to weekly tasks, Big Brother can assign additional ones, which fall into five categories:[citation needed]
Daily tasks are routine activities that housemates can complete and may be transferred to anyone by Big Brother.
Secret tasks require a housemate to complete a mission without informing the others.
Reward tasks can belong to any category and must be completed to earn a reward.
Special tasks are assignments given by Big Brother or suggested by housemates with his approval.
Punishment tasks are given to any individual or several housemates as a form of penalty for violating the house rules.
Some tasks may influence house activities and may create competition among the housemates. In certain cases, sponsors may provide specific tasks, allowing housemates to win luxury rewards through competitions, tasks, or challenges.[citation needed]

Housemates were locked separately in the pool area. The hosts Alexa, Gabbi, Mavy, and Melai were assigned to help the housemates by picking bamboo sticks scattered in the house. The housemates were connecting the collected bamboo sticks by using their belongings to reach the key on a suspended logo to open the gate to the main house. If they fail to accomplish the task in 15 minutes, one of the assigned hosts will be required to stay in the house for an undetermined period.[50]
On Day 3, Big Brother informed Kira that her duo Josh would celebrate his birthday the following day. To celebrate Josh's birthday pool party, Big Brother assigned Kira to spend a longer time on the Twinkle Twinkle Big Star weekly task, as the time their duo spends on the weekly task is equivalent to the duration of the pool party.[51]
On Day 8, the violators must walk five laps around the swimming pool while saying Hindi ako lalabag sa mga patakaran ni Big Brother (transl. "I will not break Big Brother's rules."). Afterwards, each violator must take turns being a human pen by wearing a pen cap. The other housemates will use the human pen to write the sentence Hindi ako lalabag sa mga patakaran ni Big Brother on the whiteboard. The last writing, however, was tasked to be done in cursive. The violations will be cleared if the writings are legible.[52][53]
On Day 9, the Star Magic housemates were required to transfer a ball using a hole maze from Point A to Point B. If the ball falls, they must return to the starting point. If they win the task, the reward will be given to a Sparkle housemate.
Unbeknownst to the Star Magic housemates, the reward is a nomination immunity medal which gives a Sparkle housemate of their choice immunity for the first nomination round.[OT 5]

The housemates were grouped by gender, taking turns wearing blindfolds, with the women starting first. Big Brother's signal would alert one group when to remove their blindfolds, at which point the other group immediately put theirs on. The game ended when the female housemates were the last to wear blindfolds. However, to remove them, the female housemates had to correctly guess the names of three male housemates, who were required to remain still, by searching their locations. Adding to the twist, Charlie and Ralph (who were the "two things" the men had to hide for their secret weekly task) were also required to stay still while the unaware female housemates searched for the male housemates.

For this challenge, each housemate starts with a board holding 10 balloons. To earn more, a housemate will roll a ball onto specific landing spots, gaining 0 to 3 additional balloons based on where it lands. A housemate will have three attempts to increase their balloon count. Afterward, housemates will use the same ball-rolling method to correctly land the ball on their number of choice; the higher the number, the more of another housemate's balloons they can pop. This continues until only one housemate still has a balloon on their board.
The last Sparkle housemate and the last Star Magic housemate standing will win the final Final Duo medals and immunity from the fifth nomination round, while all losing housemates will be automatically nominated.

Notes
^Except Emilio and Vince, who just entered the house that week.
^Notably, River's duo for this week was not chosen for the task.
Nomination history
In each nomination, duos assign three points to one duo and one point to another, with the nomination table reflecting this by placing the duo receiving three points at the top.[58] Underlined names denote the intended target for that specific point, if any. Otherwise, no target was identified.
^ The Star Magic housemates (excluding Bianca) were assigned a task, which they successfully completed. As a result, Big Brother informed them that they could select one Sparkle housemate to receive immunity from the first nominations. They unanimously chose Charlie.
^ Bianca, a new Star Magic housemate, was granted immunity because she entered the house on Day 10, five days before the first nomination round. She was later partnered with Charlie after the latter was granted immunity by the Star Magic housemates for successfully completing a challenge.
^ Emilio and Vince, new housemates, were exempted on the second nomination round because they entered the house on Day 22, one day after the first eviction night. The two were then automatically combined into pairs for the current nomination round.
^ Shuvee and Xyriel, new housemates, were exempted on the third nomination round because they entered the house on Day 36, one day after the second eviction night. The two were then automatically combined into pairs for the current nomination round.
^ Shuvee received an automatic nomination for violating the rules by using a lapel microphone in the swimming pool. Since the duo pairing rule applies, her partner Bianca was also automatically nominated.
^ The 'Big Comeback' twist allowed evicted Sparkle and Star Magic housemates to return to the house.
^ The voting process was conducted separately for Sparkle and Star Magic housemates.
^ Evicted housemates Emilio and Michael chose not to participate in The Big Comeback due to respective personal commitments.
^ Public voting via Maya for The Big Comeback ended on Day 70. However, the result was announced on Day 71 wherein Ralph and Charlie emerged as the winners.
^ AZ, Esnyr, Ralph and Shuvee were immune for the fifth nomination round after winning two Big Intensity Challenges. All the non-winners for the two Big Intensity Challenges were automatically nominated for this eviction round.
^ Public voting for this particular eviction round is individual; however, one Sparkle housemate and one Star Magic housemate will still be evicted.
In an episode aired on April 2, 2025, Klarisse De Guzman publicly came out as bisexual. During a task where housemates had to share personal stories, De Guzman revealed that she had been in a same-sex relationship with her partner, Trina, for four years. She expressed her pride and relief, stating, "I’m so happy and I’m so proud of myself that I’m finally out." Although her family had been aware of her sexuality, this marked the first time De Guzman shared her truth publicly. She acknowledged her previous fear of judgment and the potential impact on her career but emphasized the freedom she now felt. The revelation was met with widespread support from her fellow housemates and viewers.[74]
