Template talk:Apple software
LayoutI did the new layout to use folddown divs but I'm not sure if this one is better, feel free to tweak Just another star in the night T | @ | C 21:05, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
I made a new layout with removing the bundled software within a suite. This way the template is smaller and cleaner and when every you are in a suite or the software for a suite, there is another template.
Front Row, iChat, Photo Booth, and iTunesI removed Front Row, iChat, and Photo Booth – they are not a stand alone application. If an application that's bundled with OSX (like iChat) is on that list, every other OSX app has to be on that list as well – e.g. Safari or TextEdit. I OTOH added iTunes. While iTunes is included in iLife, it's not really a part of it. iTunes' release schedule doesn't follow iLife's schedule at all and iTunes is also available for Windows. --KAMiKAZOW 13:26, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Width...Without a fixed width, the template becomes much larger than it needs to be and on wide pages it pushes all the content to the left instead of the middle where most people would expect it to be. Ideally, the "width:auto;" parameter would work correctly, but it doesn't until then, keeping the width set to the exact size it needs to be (without being too wide) afaik is the best way to keep the template. We need to discuss this so it doesn't turn into an edit war... PaulC/T+ 15:38, 29 October 2007 (UTC) Missing apps? Some applications seem to be missing.

Apple Inc. software on Windows platformsWith the recent release of the Safari browser for Windows, I think a navigation template for Apple software with ports to Windows operating systems should be created. From what I can recall we can start with the following: Boot Camp might also be included, since it's the software that installs device drivers for Windows on Mac computers. Granted it doesn't seem like much of a list for now, but I believe these set of Apple software which are also available for Windows users present enough interest to have their own list. --Aeon17x (talk) 16:42, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Added older OSes, changed widthI changed the width of the template to 100%. It was 52em before—and fixed width should always be avoided. I added links to System 6 and 7, along with Mac OS 8 and 9. — Lasse Havelund (p · t · c) 17:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
