Template:Infobox officeholder is permanently protected from editing because it is a heavily used or highly visible template. Substantial changes should first be proposed and discussed here on this page. If the proposal is uncontroversial or has been discussed and is supported by consensus, editors may use {{edit template-protected}} to notify an administrator or template editor to make the requested edit. Usually, any contributor may edit the template's documentation to add usage notes or categories. Any contributor may edit the template's sandbox. Unlink Template:Infobox people, there is not disappearance parameters. Now I can't add disappearance date and place on Dhirendranath Datta. Please add "disappeared_place" and "disappeared_date" parameters like infobox people. Mehedi Abedin 20:44, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This talk page is a good place to start. This template is used on 251,000 pages. How many pages would |disappeared_date= be used on? Can you provide ten examples? If not, you probably won't get support. In the meantime, you can use |module= to embed a different infobox that supports |disappeared_date= if you have an article that contains sourced information about the disappearance of an officeholder. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:14, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A "chiefminister" field should be added as there is many chief ministers such as Chief Minister of the Isle of Man, Chief Minister of Jersey, Chief Minister of Guernsey. It would be used on the infoboxes of government ministers such as those on Council of Ministers of the Isle of Man. Sahaib (talk) 08:23, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change:

The formatting of native names in this infobox is inconsistent with that of other biographical infoboxes (e.g. infobox person) -- as far as I can see, only officeholder bolds them; they are usually in regular type.
