Hi, it seems that your proposal on the discussion on Talk:Pejorative did not result in any changes. While my comment could be taken as critical, I actually agree that it's very unfortunate that Wikipedia does not have more content on slur as a concept. I think I'd suggest to make a subsection on either Pejorative or Insult (which I believe is in line with the other comments), and if the sources make the importance clear and give content to a big subsection, maybe that will one day initiate a discussion leading to a better organization. I'd be open to contribute but it's not at the core of things I usually work with, but I do have a little interesting in swearing and its linguistic properties, but not exactly sources at hand. @Replayful: Hey, thanks for the kind words! And after reading the comments, I agree that it doesn't make sense to have pages for Insult, Pejorative, and Slur. I think I'll do some research and contribute a subsection to one of those pages. I am not a slur expert off the top of my head so there could plausibly not be a lot on it but, if there is, we can definitely reassess organization as you suggest. Hi, I noticed you marked an edit to Montreal as minor, but it wasn't. "Minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Greetings friend, Just wanted to let you know, I saw your recent edits on the Texas Chain Saw Massacre and it looks pretty nice. Hey @Aurangzebra, you closed the request to make Louis Armstrong level 3. While I have no doubt it's an uphill battle, I think we should keep it going just in case... Many other people seemed sympathetic to removing him, and in the other discussion I saw people saying things like that the proposal to removing the musicians was ridiculous, except for Louis Armstrong (or something along those lines). Even though it hasn't gotten that much support yet, I think it's still possible it will in the future, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Is it okay if we reopen it? Hey! I closed it because not only is it an uphill battle, but it is near impossible. pbp, Thi, and LaukkuTheGreit all opposed all musicians being removed in GeogSage's recent proposal. And this isn't a case of changing opinions - these were votes placed 2-3 weeks ago. Assuming we can transpose their votes, this proposal would require 16 additional supports in a row to pass. No proposal on VA3 has ever even had 16 votes, let alone 16 on one side. Even if we assume they suddenly became neutral, the proposal would need 12 supports in a row and no opposes. That would mean 18 votes in total which, as I mentioned above, has never happened on a single proposal. That being said, if you feel strongly about this proposal, I won't stop you from re-opening; I'm just hoping to explain my logic since I don't take WP:SNOW closures lightly. If proposals require ahistoric conditions to pass, I'd rather close/archive quickly so we don't push up against WP:TALKPAGE and leave room for new proposals. Purplebackpack89, would be nice to get a courtesy ping. Nash, in addition to many other major events, continued the nonviolent 1961 Freedom Rides when they were abandoned because of violence. Pivotal and crucial to the course of the Civil Rights Movement. Her saving the Rides seems pretty mainstream information. No worry about taking no for an answer, which seems an unusual hope. When the nominations are closed I'll move on. I would hope you could comment on my request to Aurangzebra to strike that part about me being blocked for a COI violation (never happened, so where are they getting that from, nor why they persist in not striking an obvious good faith misunderstanding). Likely a good faith misreading of my three blocks (I would have contested the last block except it occurred as I was on my way to view the eclipse and that took life-precedence). When editors discuss other editors by name, especially in a critical manner, I believe pinging them is both the polite, and may be the required, thing to do. Happened to have this page watchlisted during this process, luckily enough (so as to further explain, given your - Purplebackpack89 - questioning my intent, what I meant by Nash's crucial Civil Rights Movement role during the crossroads of the original group calling off the Freedom Rides and the Nashville students taking them over, which is very well covered in the literature).
