The future of slursHi, it seems that your proposal on the discussion on Talk:Pejorative did not result in any changes. While my comment could be taken as critical, I actually agree that it's very unfortunate that Wikipedia does not have more content on slur as a concept. I think I'd suggest to make a subsection on either Pejorative or Insult (which I believe is in line with the other comments), and if the sources make the importance clear and give content to a big subsection, maybe that will one day initiate a discussion leading to a better organization. I'd be open to contribute but it's not at the core of things I usually work with, but I do have a little interesting in swearing and its linguistic properties, but not exactly sources at hand. In any case, I just wanted to show my appreciation of your concerns! --//Replayful (talk | contribs) 16:55, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited World and Olympic records set at the 2024 Summer Olympics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Martin Vlach. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.) I have been working on expanding the article in a separate userspace so I can work uninterrupted. So far it has been going well though I have slowed down a little. Eventually I will get around to completing it and transfering it into the userspace but it will be a good long while until that happens. If you are interested in helping or anything feel free to reach out. Happy editing. Paleface Jack (talk) 02:54, 20 October 2024 (UTC) ArbCom 2024 Elections voter messageHello! A tag has been placed on Fartcoin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 00:49, 20 December 2024 (UTC) Nomination of Fartcoin for deletion![]() The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fartcoin until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. References ClosureHey @Aurangzebra, you closed the request to make Louis Armstrong level 3. While I have no doubt it's an uphill battle, I think we should keep it going just in case... Many other people seemed sympathetic to removing him, and in the other discussion I saw people saying things like that the proposal to removing the musicians was ridiculous, except for Louis Armstrong (or something along those lines). Even though it hasn't gotten that much support yet, I think it's still possible it will in the future, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Is it okay if we reopen it? Randy/BevelJust wanted to let you know you've been mentioned in Randy's discussion about Bevel on my talk page (yes, MY talk page, not the VA5 page). I definitely would like your 2c and I guess Randy might too. pbp 17:13, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
@Aurangzebra: @NegativeMP1: I'm rather at my wit's end about Randy. He's doubled down and nominated Diane Nash for VA5 as well as Bevel, and he doesn't seem prepared to take no for an answer on that one either, again clinging to a (non-particularly-mainstream) belief that Nash saved the Civil Rights Movement... pbp 02:53, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
