Coffee FACI replied to your comments on the Coffee FAC a few days, and you haven't responded. I wondered what else I can do to improve the article. HOpefully you have time to reply soon. Cheers, Jude. 22:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC) DYKCheers, DarkFalls talk 01:15, 2 October 2007 (UTC) Cheshire Portal biographyI have been doing some more work on Sir John Brunner, 1st Baronet recently and think this may be a suitable biography for the portal at some time. What do you think? It is worth submitting it for GA approval? Best wishes, Peter. Peter I. Vardy 14:37, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! :D
Churche's MansionI like the article; hence my comments on Portal:Cheshire/Suggest. Go for GA; the article is at least as good as Halton Castle. I am not into textural criticism (which is why I welcome yours) but a couple of technical points. The link to Borough of Crewe & Nantwich: Nantwich Town Centre Walk seems to have died. And it's a pity that Churche's Mansion website is a 'For Sale' notice; I wonder what will happen to the website when the property is sold – will all those excellent photos disappear? Best wishes. Re: Drapetomania - withdrew AFD as I instantly was trashed and harassedThanks for you thanks and I will try to do a better job next time. I withdrew the AFD because of the harassment. However one of my main objections, the linking of Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Sluggishly progressing schizophrenia to Drapetomania have been removed. And although brief, the AFD did have the effect gathering attention and hopefully will therefore be improved. Regards, --Mattisse 12:36, 5 October 2007 (UTC) DYK updatingNot sure if you've done this yet, but I'm sure you know how. While the update clock is at 10 hours, shouldn't we just update it and prevent more items tomorrow from being expired? I know many have used expired noms, and even if it's decided they shouldn't be used, it would be better to have them replaced in the template than the whole update being delayed. Rigadoun (talk) 14:23, 5 October 2007 (UTC) DYkI have commented at the discussion page, suffice it to say, I am not happy right now. Nothing personal against you or anything. IvoShandor 14:48, 5 October 2007 (UTC) Re expired noms at DYKGenerally it's been my feeling that one-day expired nominations can be included, as the supply of decent articles varies substantially from day to day, so that backlogs of usable items are common. Moreover, often problems are only noticed at the last minute, meaning that good-faith efforts to fix the articles result in an article that becomes usable only when technically expired. Could you possibly join the discussion at the talk page about this? Regards, Espresso Addict 14:13, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Please give some advice on this article. If you read the talk page, it is treading over the same issues, using some of the same biased sources, as the recently deleted Psychiatric abuse. This is getting overwhelming. --Mattisse 15:57, 5 October 2007 (UTC) GA for John BrunnerThanks for your congrats for the GA achieved by Sir John Brunner, 1st Baronet. I was particularly lucky in that it was picked up within hours by User:Malleus Fatuarum who is not only English but is even local (from Greater Manchester). I have regarded him previously as a "Wikifriend" because he has made helpful suggestions for other Cheshire-linked articles. He made some reasonable comments in a very sympathetic manner and when these were dealt with, accepted it as a GA. I see that Churche's Mansion has not yet been picked up – once again good luck when it is; I hope you get a sympathetic and helpful assessor. Peter. Peter I. Vardy 11:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Churche's Mansion GABrilliant – you've done it! Congratulations! I followed the process and it looks as if you had to do some hard work, but isn't it worth it? And you got a helpful reviewer who worked with you. Were Wikipedia always like that. So what's your next GA? Peter. Peter I. Vardy 20:11, 8 October 2007 (UTC) WHY did you delete the AfD notice from the top of this page? Dayton Rowland 05:34, 10 October 2007 (UTC) Manipulation of WPI read an article in the newspaper about manipulation of Wikipedia a few months ago. A few days ago, I saw a message board about someone banned from WP by a moderator just because he didn't like what was said (even though other message board contributors failed to see anything bad about the edit). I just came across an article about an American presidential candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton being one of them. The moderator there is bullying others and striking out comments. He claims socks but this is just an excuse for eliminating any discussion. As far as the comments that he objects to, they are nothing radical. In fact, I just put a suggestion there and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to eliminate me. If so, you should make the correction to the Prentice Position article. It has a major error. My recent RfAI am sorry you felt it necessary to oppose my recent RfA, which did not succeed. I will attempt to get more experience in the main namespace and the Wikipedia namespace and will try again for RfA in two month's time. I hope I will have satisfied your concerns by then, but if not, please comment as you feel you should. Thanks for participating in my RfA. -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 07:48, 11 October 2007 (UTC) Close studdingKeep your eye on it because the first thing you know it will be redirected to post and lintel, timber framing, tudor architecture something. I've had that happen when the article is still on the main page DYK! --Mattisse 23:49, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
DYKThanks for sorting out the overdue update. -- !! ?? 14:07, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
DYK referring to Dus-rong Mang-po-rje articleDear Espresso Addict: Thanks you so much for informing me that there was a reference to the article I wrote on Dus-rong Mang-po-rje in the DYK section yesterday. I had somehow missed it there. Did you put it up for inclusion? If so, double thanks!! I have just had a quick look at your User Page and noticed you have been a virologist so thought you might be intersted in an aricle I wrote some time ago on a laboratory I trained in as laboratory technician as a teenager in Trinidad: Trinidad Regional Virus Laboratory. Yes, that is Yours Truly as a young man in the photo! I have also contributed significantly to the articles on rabies, vampire bats as well as several others and also wrote a whole article on my early mentor Dr. Wilbur Downs. I just thought I would take advantage of this oppotunity in case you might be interested. Whatever the case, thank you so much and I send you all best wishes, John Hill 00:22, 13 October 2007 (UTC) Current batch of DYKsI agree with you. Sadly there's a dearth of illustrated hooks around at the moment. Feel free to re-arrange if you fancy. GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 22:47, 13 October 2007 (UTC) DYKCan you take a look at this please. close studding--GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 23:19, 14 October 2007 (UTC) Medicine deletion sorting pageA little while ago you thanked me for adding an article to the Medicine deletion sorting page. Now I cannot figure out how on earth I did that, as I cannot find the Medicine deletion sorting page anywhere. Did you know that Psychiatric abuse is once again up for deletion? Could you add it to the Medicine deletion sorting page? (Also, perhaps you could give me instructions on now to do it for myself in the future.) Thanks! --Mattisse 15:46, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
FL mockupsYou previously opposed the List of the Day Proposal due to formatting concerns. Could you please look at the following two proposed main page mockups and reconsider your vote:
St Lawrence's Church, StoakThanks for selecting St Lawrence's Church, Stoak for DYK. I must say I had not spotted the hook myself, and in any case I was thinking that folks might be getting bored with Cheshire churches. Still it's good to get Cheshire in the main page again. Best wishes. Peter. Peter I. Vardy 09:56, 19 October 2007 (UTC) James Trubshaw--GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 15:59, 20 October 2007 (UTC) Randle HolmeI have written a new article on the (to me) fascinating Chester family with four generations bearing the name Randle Holme, painters of memorial boards and hatchments, some of which still exist in Cheshire churches (and they are interesting in other ways too). I think there is a DYK somewhere in it but am struggling to come up with an interesting hook without having to give a lot of background information. Possibilities include:
Do you think any of these is suitable; or can you come up with something better? (Bet you can!) Peter. PS Congratulations on the articles on close studding and James Trubshaw. Peter I. Vardy 18:03, 20 October 2007 (UTC) unsourced academic BLPsGenerally speaking, unsourced BLPs should be considered very carefully. Perhaps more so for academics. For many academics, allegations that they have side consulting jobs with paying for-profit clients are controversial or contentious - like who funds an academic's research becomes controversial - because one can never fully discount that the results or targets of the academic's research are in some way compromised by such affiliations. You gave a final warning to Jazzio9226362 about vandalism to the article in October, with the threat of a block. Regrettably he has returned to do some more, which has been reverted by Utcursch today. I have also noted some by him to the Harry Lewis article today, when I deleted some from 82.32.9.171 that ClueBot missed as it reverted his, They may be the same user!. -- Richard Harvey (talk) 18:08, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

I am not sure that it is helpful to persons looking for that stop to have more difficulty finding it now. So before I replace it, I will ask some questions to gain clarity. Thanks.
