Grrr...okay, I'll look into this, that data point is helpful. I recently added some logic to grab data on existing blocks and pre-fill the forms, I wonder if something's getting messed up in there. GeneralNotability (talk) 17:00, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Hey - just a heads up, it's still happening. It was a re-block again. In case it helps, in this case I'm pretty confident that I unchecked the 'Add talk page notice when (re)blocking the sockmaster' box, but it added the notice anyway. Cheers GirthSummit (blether)10:57, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

Mobile IP editors are now able to receive warning notices indicating they have a talk page message on the mobile website (similar to the orange banners available on desktop). These notices will be displayed on every page outside of the main namespace and every time the user attempts to edit. The notice on desktop now has a slightly different colour. [4][5]
In the future, unregistered editors will be given an identity that is not their IP address. This is for legal reasons. A new user right will let editors who need to know the IPs of unregistered accounts to fight vandalism, spam, and harassment, see the IP. You can read the suggestions for how that identity could work and discuss on the talk page.
On 13 November 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article RADCAL, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the RADCAL satellite, designed to have a three-year lifespan, operated for almost twenty? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/RADCAL. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, RADCAL), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
For your determined and diligent work in significantly reducing backlogs on CheckUser VRT queues. It is inspiring. Risker (talk) 03:33, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Problems
Sometimes, edits made on iOS using the visual editor save groups of numbers as telephone number links, because of a feature in the operating system. This problem is under investigation. [7]
There was a problem with search last week. Many search requests did not work for 2 hours because of a configuration error. [8]

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
I'm not sure if you remember this guy or not from March and then back in November last year, but they are back attempting to push their longest novel again with a couple accounts. Since you have dealt with this guy prior I thought you may want to take a look Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Marcelrayduriez. Their efforts this time include
