Hi @GeneralNotability: I will like to request a further extension on my IP Block exempt as the previous time has elapsed. You advised that after six months I could request for a further extension. Thank you in advance. MesutOzula (talk) 23:32, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
@GeneralNotability hope you are doing good. I am here to talk about a article tha you deleted (reason:created by banned or blocked user) but he article that was created has notability over web. I am starting to work on in. Adilazeezbukhari (talk) 06:02, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
The Gustin Kelly block
Thanks. Your help is always appreciated. Do you mind advising me? How do I handle that better next time? The user was clearly not being forthcoming from the beginning, and their purpose is arguable, if anti-transparent (my characterization). It troubles me that an obvious SPA can begin a process with disruptive intent, and their process may succeed in their clearly shady purpose. For a very brief moment, I considered userfying this material myself. Stupid, I know, since this material is easily readable by admins. There's a sort of style I'm recognizing with Gustin Kelly but I'm not a skilled sockhunter. If I spill my suspicion, and I have one, I'm at a disadvantage. I need to admit that I'm troubled about the direction of recent processes at MfD which remove userpages and subpages, which I find actually is a thing (e.g. WP:Ragpicking), when blanking seems the ready solution. BusterD (talk) 22:49, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
BusterD, wish I had a good answer for you - other than ANI, we don't really have a good place for reporting "this user is obviously not new and not here in good faith, but I'm not sure who they are and they aren't outright disruptive," and ANI is...well...ANI. If you see something like this, you're welcome to drop me a note, I am happy to look into these cases (though of course the answer may well be "yeah, they look a little off, but I don't see strong enough evidence to do anything about it"). I'll also add that this one was a pretty tough case, and I only was able to identify them from CU data because I've seen them before. GeneralNotability (talk) 16:11, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
And of course, I recognized your visitor right away as the same LTA but figured unless they edited elsewhere I had them watched. I don't want to give that abuser any clues, but they (aggressively) seem not to care, accounts being free. I should probably get with a SPI clerk and start learning the game. I'm not interested in any hats, but I should at least speak the language. BusterD (talk) 17:39, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

At Wikidata, an interwiki link can now point to a redirect page if certain conditions are met. This new feature is called sitelinks to redirects. It is needed when one wiki uses one page to cover multiple concepts but another wiki uses more pages to cover the same concepts. Your feedback on the talkpage of the new proposed guideline is welcome. [9]

Thanks Liz. No objection from me, looks like Labattblueboy has split the category into two more specific categories (nice work!), and I don't think it makes sense to have this as a super-category containing the other two. GeneralNotability (talk) 01:26, 28 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
Hi GeneralNotability, you indeffed Hemantha back in July as a sock but I can't seem to find who the master was. I'm trying to put a bow on another sock [19] in the same family but I don't know what master to open it under (nor do I really feel confident without the larger context). Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:36, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
Horse Eye's Back, had to do some digging here...as far as I can tell, they're Walrus Ji. I'll note that I took a preliminary CU look based on the overlap and CU data is very, very different, so you're going to need some pretty solid behavioral evidence if you do think this is the same person.
