A new article focus on a human in Pokemon
So what character in Pokemon do you think will get an article?
Might be hard to do without good sourcing. You could probably get a list together but then you'd have to be careful it didn't end up a categorical dumping spot like most are.

This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
in-depth (not just passing mentions about the subject)
Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:

I'm not sure I understand that decline @Hey man im josh. Character articles live and die by their reception section, and the one in the draft was greatly improved from the one present in the AfD. The old reception section there was based on worthless listicles and insubstantial opinions, while the new one has greater commentary on its design and how it was received by both review outlets and members of the fanbase. The Night Watch(talk)17:38, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@The Night Watch: That's a fair point, and I recognize that based on the improvements made to the reception section the result at AfD may be different if sent back there. I see now there's significantly more reliable sources used in this section when compared to the old version. Looking at the article histories, it actually looks like this draft was started using the exact same text and references for a large part of it, so may I suggest that the content from the draft be copy and pasted over the redirect, so that we can preserve the attribution history that was not mentioned in the draft history? Best done by @Kung Fu Man, as they were the one that made the changes, that way they're properly credited with the changes that they made. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:45, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Hey man im josh Yeah, given how contentious the previous AfD was I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. I've had a few articles I've done over past AfDs get that kneejerk renomination, never fun @.@--Kung Fu Man (talk) 22:43, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, why did you revert my edit about Taka-Arashi? I worked hard to research, edit properly to make sure it wasn't vandalism and for what? For you to reverse and throw my hard work in the trash? What is the need for this? I did nothing wrong and now because of you, I know for sure that I do not have the freedom to edit here on Wikipedia. Picture change proposal in Leo Kliesen's wiki page
Hi Kung Fu Man,
I'm a contributer of Leo Kliesen's page. First of all, I really wanted to say that you did a good job in elaborating the Conception and development section as it is very exhaustive and clear. I just wanted to propose the change of the picture in the above-mentioned section, because I have a photo portraying the character wearing both of the swimsuits in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 I think it might sum up the situation (and the image caption) more clearly. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the image uploading system of Wikipedia and I wondered if you could assist me. Have a good day. Daniele199 (talk) 22:18, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Daniele199 Do you have a link to it handy? I saw one composite image in the wiki, but with that I do feel the image in the article works better than that one, as it shows the customization menu, and the text and thumbnails are still clear enough.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 22:29, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I guess we are talking about the same image then (the composite one). I was thinking about that one because in my opinion it would be better to show straight away (and clearly) the differences between the two swimsuits, in order to make the point clear to 'newcomers' and also because showing only one of them could bring some people off trail.
@Daniele199 Ah sorry wasn't ignoring you, got busy finishing up the rest...that manga was certain um...a thing. Though not *as* bad at the sentence that was in the original implied. Go for it, I'd be keen to see what you come up with. Just remember a composite image tends to be a bit more problematic, as it's basically doubling the fair use issues.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 14:29, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I never thought you'd been ignoring me. I just thought Wikipedia didn't notify you.
I see. If that's the case, then I could propose a gif image showing Leo in customization mode wearing both of the swimsuits but I don't know whether it would go well or not for the page. I can also try and search for the in-game preview images of both of costumes. My initial idea was to take a picture as similar (if not the same) as yours and put near to it another image portraying only the character wearing the other swimsuit. Let me know which could go well and which might be less problematic. @Kung Fu ManDaniele199 (talk) 17:46, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kung Fu Man, I am writing to you because I have a problem. You see last month I had created a sandbox page with the intention of creating an article for the character of Geno. I had initially created the page on January 15, but I had been looking into sources much earlier than this (at least since December if memory serves me correctly. When I did my source search, I noted that as far as I could tell, there was nobody else attempting to make an article about this character. However, it wasn't until near the end of me writing the sandbox draft that I notice that another editor was making a Geno article at the same time as me. I didn't intend for this, as I wasn't trying to get in anybody's way. And now there is the problem of there existing two different draft of Geno.
I am writing to you as you are a prominent member of the Video Game Characters Task Force and this draft would fall under your expertise. I have also mentioned this to the User Vrxces as they previously rejected the other Geno draft, though they haven't responded as of yet. So I am asking if you can also help resolve this problem. My draft is currently finished, but I don't want to submit it for review as I don't want it to come off as rude to the other Geno editor. My draft is available here on Draft:Geno (Super Mario RPG) (I chose the name because it lined up with Vivian's article being series specific and I saw that there was a redirect with the exact same name as the draft). Thanks, CaptainGalaxy19:38, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, KFM. I noticed you recently tagged Ryu for notability, but if it's all right I think I'll go ahead and preemptively merge him into the DOA character list, as you did last year with Tina Armstrong. He's equally guilty of having a bloated reception section from back in the Niemti days (mainly repetitive "best ninja" material); today it's almost entirely fluff, while I couldn't find anything noteworthy in a new search. sixtynine• whaddya want? •19:00, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Beemer69 Go for it I'd say, Kasumi really feels like the one notable character from that franchise. I've tried digging every now and then for stuff like Rachel to see if I missed anything, but it keeps coming up with the same "fluff" results.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 19:08, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, will do. :) I've just ditched a ton of stuff from the reception section. but the merging process itself will be a bit of an undertaking for me given his history. *cracks knuckles* Done. sixtynine• whaddya want? •19:12, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have been working on King's article and added additional citations for verification, can you take a look at the article and tell me if there are enough citations or not. Kazama16 (talk) 07:11, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kazama16 Destructoid is a RS, though definitely be careful with the wording. As for Sportster, it's valnet, and not really saying much, though could be used for a comparison source if you needed it in reception alongside the Destructoid one.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:17, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Question regarding new articles for Pokémon characters
Hello. Thank you for your help on Nessa. I noticed attempts have been made to create articles on May, Dawn, Iris, Serena, etc. Do you believe that creating articles about those characters could be a possibility if people were able to find enough sources and flesh out the articles? When I looked through the history for each character's article on this site, I noticed that only 4 or 5 sources were used for May, Dawn, Iris etc. TreeElf (talk) 19:29, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@TreeElf Honestly probably not. Really the only other one I see as getting possible spinout material with what we have is Larry, where the reception section was huge but we had really not much else to say in his article sadly. Nessa had a lot of boost from the reactions over her being perceived as black and the commentary about the controversy, which isn't something that the others would have to help them out.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 20:25, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How do you prevent datbot to reduce your gif image like you did [3] yours? Datbot keeps on reducing and ultimately the gif image doesn't work now as a gif itself. GreenishPickle! (🔔) 01:50, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Greenish Pickle! Gifs should probably be used sparingly still too. Like in that case unless there's a comment on the animation I don't feel it really adds anything in that instance to the article for Leon.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 02:33, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A goal of such a list is to give the reader as much info as needed to understand the subject without veering too often into things that may feel extraneous. This not only makes it easier to get the article to a higher quality more easily, but also helps the reader be able to grasp the subject. Think like if you were trying to describe a house to someone, but they only had a limited amount of time to understand what it looks like for example.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:56, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a message to inform you that recently, you've been merging character pages to their associated anime pages, especially Aikatsu Stars! and PriPara. Instead of that, how about re-add the characters to "Characters" section on anime page then clean-up rewrite and condense/revamp? Earlier this year, I asked someone on their talk page that if I'm going to do so myself, I shouldn't add too much plot summary and must make sure there are only a few sentences on each character. CuteDolphin712 (talk) 09:23, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@CuteDolphin712 It's been awhile since I messed with those, but I believe when I did it the mindset was there were already plot sections giving basic guidelines of the characters in paragraph form, and the lists had become bloated messes that, to be fair, probably were better to WP:TNT than to try and salvage.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:45, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
