Swizz Beatz might be Muslim, but you have to cite that source. Plenty of other hip hop producers have used Islamic samples, including Timbaland and Madlib, and neither of them are Muslim. So please cite your trivia or else it can be deleted. Rockstar915 00:47, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You tell me why they are. Non-free images should only be used if the understanding of the topic could not be complete without them- they are a last resort. Take, for instance, File:GTAVC PC Gang Attack.jpg. Ok, so there was some controversy surrounding the perceived racism, but does it really mattered what it looked like to kill them? I guess I myself am not too concerned about the image, but you may want to bring the issue up on the Lupe Fiasco talk page to see what other editors think about it. The "Grammy winning" bit however, is definitely a unacceptable. It is POV and does not provide enough context to the reader. The lead sentence (the very first sentence) should be kept as basic as possible. That is not to say awards can't be mentioned later in the lead section. Basically, any subject that you are interested in has needs. Similar articles to Lupe Fiasco would be Kanye West and Common (entertainer). They are also popular R&B musicians from Chicago. West is already a GA, so maybe you might want to help Common. Since you don't have a user page it is hard to say what you might be interested in. I see from your edit history, that you do Comics related stuff. Powers (comics) might be an interesting subject. The TV adaptation is set in Chicago. I don't know if that is the case with the comic book, but that article needs some work. What makes Christian Today a reliable source as opposed to IGN and others? And as there has been no official announcement for consoles, which you yourself have admitted to, Wikipedia does not speculate on potential console releases, regardless of whether he "wants" to continue it on PS4, there's been no announcement of consoles at this time. Yeah, I agree. Tekken 7 will come to PS4, sometimes it's mundane but the Wikipedia rules on sourcing and speculation are to be followed. Hi there. As I mentioned before, please stop editing against consensus. As I mentioned, the last discussion on "Milestone Titles", seen at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:History_of_video_game_consoles_(eighth_generation)/Archive_2#What_is_a_.22milestone.22.3F - was that no one could define what one is, how they are determined, etc, so the consensus was to not included any at this point.

Just because other article's have them does not make it right. If you wish to change the consensus, then please start up a new discussion, and only make the changes if there is a consensus to do so, as described in WP:CONSENSUS and WP:NOCONSENSUS.

When I was referring to Youtube being an unreliable source, I mean it in the fashion that even the uploader was not a important Youtube account. Per WP:SPS, an open wiki is not a source. And pop culture mentions need some kind of reason why they matter. Why is this important to the Space Needle? What influence did it have? Hi Osh33m,

I was on my phone earlier and couldn't check if the link I wrote in my edit summary was correct, but I meant to link to Template: Infobox video game. For the arcade system field, it reads "The name of or names associated with the arcade game's system board hardware. In case of unique arcade hardware, omit this field and use those below." Sounds to me like Tekken 7 has a unique arcade hardware setup and it doesn't have a name. I'm not saying that that bit of information shouldn't be in the article, it's just that right now it shouldn't be used in the infobox. I'll leave it up to you do as you see fit. Not everyone would necessarily agree on which role is an actor's "best" role nor know them for the same roles. Unless you have a citable source that indicates a subject is only known for a single role, or for one role above all others, leave it as "x is known for y", versus "x is best known for y". That full body image of Kiryu was used when Yakuza 0 was the latest installment, however, since Yakuza 6 is now in development, his most recent look is what's most relevant. The older image is also relevant to give the viewer a full body shot of the character, same as Nathan Drake. As for the picture of him shaving, sure, if you want to upload it and put it in reception I say go for it. There's a difference between what you did then and what you did with Bayonetta. Pro-tip - articles shouldn't consist entirely of 12 empty sections in its body. I have no plans to make one article for now, but I wonder if you are interested. There are already some sources that back up wp:notabiliy like his award from 0, his appearances in Kiwami 1, the poll, etc. However, that would require more sources more like critical reception which I find possible. You know how WP:Notability works, right? We basically have to back up the character through third party sources like video game journalist and developers' comments. If you want to avoid a stub, I would suggest working on a sandbox. I think Majima can pass notability but I haven't played all Yakuza games post 2 so I can't work on his appearances section. After giving a major expansion, I failed to find anything in regards to how Namco created Jin's original design. An artbook or guidebook based on Tekken might explain that but I have no possesion of any. By any chance do you have one? Nice work in the character article. I left it a bit of a stub since I haven't been able to play all Yakuza games. Just 0, 1, 2 and Judgment due to economical stuff. Feel free to expand it but I would suggest using the GA Characters of the Final Fantasy XIII series as a model. Such article covers the most notable characters in the franchise and does a good balance between inuniverse information and real world information.

About Tekken, I find it a bit redundant since the prose already says it while there is another table about the release of each game. The prose should already tell the reader everything about each game first. Shouldn't we remove a table to avoid undue weight or clash with the prose? I have not seen a proper fighting game franchise article, but I kinda tried cleaning up The King of Fighters to give it a good shape similar to other articles about franchises. @Tintor2: thanks for getting back to me. I haven't played all the games in the Yakuza series either, but the update came from an old edit back when there was an article that existed for the Yakuza characters before (it was deleted). The FFS XIII article looks like it would be a good model. We can rearrange it to fit that format; the update I made today was just to make the article fuller.

As for Tekken, the reason I do not find it redundant is because the Tekken series is unique in its development history for always having main installments launched in arcades, before being ported to console systems. The table helps to delineate and differentiate which games released on which arcade boards, and which games were ported to which consoles, respectively It would become too bloated if it included all of the spinoffs - which is why the timeline is also necessary in the spinoffs section. For this reason, I don't believe it clashes with the prose. Your cleanup on The King of Fighters article looks good for the history of what that game series' is but the Tekken article I modeled a little more after other articles such as Uncharted or Grand Theft Auto (series) which both have tables and timelines. Can you make a white background version from the transparent version, and upload that as a jpg? While not restoring to your preferred version, it is editing the article that you were blocked for edit warring over. I'm not sure how I did anything wrongfully here. You had three choices with respect to the article:

1. Take it off your watchlist and walk away.
2. Engage in a discussion on its talk page and after consensus was reached, make an edit, or better yet, let someone else make the edit.
3. Edit it.

From my perspective, you chose option three. Yes, you then engaged in discussion. While on the article's talk page, you explained that you reverted the page to Neel.arunabh's version, it was not clear in the edit history and it was not clear a self-revert, possibly because of intervening edits. No edit summary was provided and again, the edit to the article was your first edit back. Admins will often patrol editors who they've blocked and my ping below might have been unnecessary to alert the blocking admin, but it may have been the thing t hat alerted the admin. I thought after having done that and explaining it to you guys on the talk page that it would be seen as a gesture of good will, but instead, you either lied or apparently assumed that I changed it to my own preference (which doesn't make sense because my preference was the current status) and reported me again. So even if I hadn't provided an edit summary, I did provide an explanation that you didn't read fully. You're mentioning Neel now but the damage is already done.
3. I don't answer to you when editing wikipedia. The Weeknd article is one that is very important to me so I am not going to take it off my watch list just because you feel as though you are a more important editor to be watching it than myself. That is what was current and I get accused of changing it to this, which doesn't make any sense. If you keep making accusations of lying, and treat other editors as opponents, the block will stand. I am finding out now that Walter was incorrect, and therefore he reported me on a false pretense by assuming that all I did was reignite an edit war, when what I meant to do was put an end to it. As I said, I made my last edit as a measure of good will, and instead was punished for it. Why should I not feel like I am being treated unfairly for that? It takes two to have a combative behavior and I read WP:NOTTHEM; all it shows me is how flawed the rules of wikipedia can still be. It is impossible to appeal my ban without mentioning the circumstances of how wrong it was and who was involved with it in the first place. If you need convincing that I can edit productively, then you can look at my full history and see that I have been an editor on wikipedia for almost as long as you, and have helped contribute to hundreds of articles thousands of times. I've had disagreements with other editors, but I have collaborated with others too. This is standard for the internet and I only want to make it better; I can't do that if I am banned unreasonably. For the purpose of this conversation, the bottom line is this: I was banned a second time based on a wrongful accusation. Yes, you've explained that. Let me put it simply: you were having a sustained edit war with multiple people for which you were blocked by me. You've never acknowledged that this was a problem - you asserted at AN3 that it wasn't your fault [3] and went on to complain about Walter Gorlitz [4] when there was ample evidence of a bright-line violation by you. You claimed that Gorlitz "wrongfully" reported you at AN3 [5], claimed it was mutual [6]. After the second block WG explained that he was not "lying," and that your intention was unclear, which it was to me as well.

What I want to see from you is an acknowledgment that your initial edit-warring was disruptive, that you will not do it again, that you will stop focusing on specific editors, and that you will make a substantial effort at collaboration, and that you will explain your edits and work to find consensus. That is why you remain blocked. Those are all reasons why we act harshly toward edit wars, and sanction people for doing that. You need to understand that administrators don't have much patience with accusations of lying in a potentially confusing situation. I didn't mean to come off as name-calling either but the things I said earlier today was really what it felt like how I was being treated. Still, I'm sorry for the name-calling too.
