Cannabinoid receptor intro workHi, Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent work here. Cheers! Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 00:35, 24 September 2009 (UTC) WikiProject NeuroscienceHi, thanks for adding your name. I've been keeping watch over the project for the past year or so -- if there's anything I can do to be helpful to you, please let me know. The articles about felids, like the cats themselves, need to be kept tidy. And, in some cases, improved. Thank you for noticing my efforts. Nice user page, BTW. Seduisant (talk) 03:36, 1 February 2010 (UTC) Articles lacking reliable referencesHi there! Thanks for your note on my Talk page. I'm now having an OMG moment about the articles listed as Wikipedia:WikiProject Children's literature/Cleanup listing#Articles lacking reliable references, which I've just started looking at. A lot of work to do there and I propose using the same criteria as for the Unreferenced BLPs. Any help you feel like giving there would be great!--Plad2 (talk) 00:08, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
AssessmentsHi there! Just wanted to thank you for your help with the assessments of the articles about the places in Russia. Also wanted to point out that we normally rate the articles about the cities/towns (and larger urban-type settlements, especially those which serve as district administrative centers) as Mid-importance, and the cities which are the capitals/administrative centers of the federal subjects (like Penza) as High-importance. It's not that big of a deal, but helps keep ratings consistent. In other regards, you are doing great. Thanks again!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); February 22, 2010; 15:35 (UTC) 24. :-DHey. Newbie here. Thanks for welcoming me. The first thing I'm wondering is, how do I get a user page as impressive as yours?! Is there some organizing system one can use to personalize one's page like you have...?--Tue Sorensen (talk) 06:05, 15 April 2010 (UTC) Talkback![]() You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template. ZooPro, ZooFari, and I worked hard to create a new portal for information on zoos, aquariums, and the associated projects and articles on Wikipedia. If you could head on over, take a look at our work, and maybe learn some more about zoos and Wikiproject Zoo, it would be great! Cheers and Happy Editing! Math checkHi, Tea with Toast. Would you mind checking my addition on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives/January 2011/Barnstars page? adding the rollover words to the words earned this drive. Also, the newsletter is under development here; if you would like to check and copy edit it would be appreciated. Thanks. --Diannaa (Talk) 02:16, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Edit count on Kutch articleHi I forgot to say the other day but I just remembered earlier tonight, well last night now - when I was going through Diannaa's archive a couple of nights ago, looking for a previous conversation we had about years and commas, I spotted your question about that huge article edit I did. It was the first thing I knew about it and was a little embarrassed when I realised you were right about me getting the numbers wrong. You asked how I had got the edit count out by 30 on Kutch Gurjar Kashtriya. That has bugged me as no matter how I tried to replicate it, I could not work out how that number happened. I have tried everything, copying it into word, taking out the books and ref sections etc, adding lists back in to the prosesize count, DYKcheck, everything! Still it did not make sense. I normally use "Article (1000 Word)" when I have used word for the calculations, and as it does not have that on my edits page, I had to assume that I didn't calculate it with Word. (plus if I had used Word it would have given 33,575 once I had stripped out the Multiple issues tag, Books, Notes and Categories) I have been up for a couple of hours now trying to work out what it is! I literally sat here going mad because it gave the 32,711 once again, just once, but then wouldn't repeat it. I finally realised what it was when I thought my keyboard calculator was broken - it did it again, I had just added the first number+1715, you cannot see the first number as the LCD screen only holds two lines of text, so I subtracted 1715 and there was the answer !!! Woohoo!! 30,996 - I must have mistyped the number when I was adding it up. I don't think I spotted that list of 153, so I guess it is sort of ok? (as it should have been 30,966 + 1,715 + 153 = 32,834) Still, it is GoCE Mentor?Hi Tea with toast, I'm new to GoCE and saw that you are interested in mentoring new members. GoCE is the perfect fit for me (I can't believe it took me a month or so to find it!). It seems as though we have similar interests, and I'm mostly looking for a second pair on eyes on my edits as I get started. I'm also active almost exclusively on the weekend. Please let me know if you would be willing to guide me as I dive into copy editing with great vigor! Ejcallen (talk) 03:39, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
GOCE MentoringHello Tea with toast, Do you have time to mentor yet another new GoCE member? Having just completed the third course in a University of California copyediting certificate program, I no longer have an excuse to not participate with the Guild of Copy Editors—something I've been intending since becoming a Wikipedian a few months ago. Since I've a strong background in things technical, I suspect editing articles of that nature may be where I can most contribute (though I want to help where needed). Seeing that you have a science background, I am interested in your guidance. DeepDepletion (talk) 07:38, 15 March 2011 (UTC) request for GOCE article reviewI've been working on the Filmography of N T Rama Rao, and would like your feedback. This is my second article for the March CE backlog elimination drive. I've not removed any tags yet. [2]. Thanks Octopet (talk) 20:39, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Help with barnstarsHi, Tea with Toast. I was wondering if you would have time to help hand out the barnstars from the March drive? with five people potentially able to help, we could have them all handed out really quickly! If you are interested, your task would be to send to people with usernames starting with the letters K through N (about ten persons). The document that gives barnstar results is here. Please let me know if you will not have time, and I will make other arrangements. Thanks. --Diannaa (Talk) 03:51, 3 April 2011 (UTC) May driveHey, I started a rough draft for the next drive page. I made some changes with regard to 2009 article awards, but I figure we should all discuss it a little more to make sure the changes are okay. Let me know what you think. Initial impetus is for a university class, but I would like to find something I can contribute to over time. Looking around for a place to start being useful, and with some background in copy editing and proofreading, the Guild seemed a place to start. I'm looking for a mentor and wondered if you might be available? Appreciate your consideration. Prairiedog2011 (talk) 05:11, 19 July 2011 (UTC) Thanks!Very pleased to be able to have a mentor to work with! Thanks for your initial comments and suggestions. I'm going to spend some quality time with the guide, I do struggle with the syntax and various pages, and anything that helps with additional detail is appreciated. I'm hoping to start in on some backlog fairly quickly, and also found it interesting that I've already been asked for help by someone. Time to dive in! I'm looking forward to this. I can't even figure out how to join. I saw that you had put your name on the list of mentors on this page, and I was wondering whether you could mentor me. Please notify me on whether you would like to take me up on my request or not at my talk page. Cheers and happy editing, pluma Ø 01:30, 15 September 2011 (UTC). A barnstar for you!
Guild of Copy EditorsI have begun my copy editing, but I have been wondering whether copy edits should be done in one edit, or if they can be done in a series of edits just in case some one over looks or ignores the "This article is currently undergoing a major copy edit by the Guild of Copy Editors" template. I also can't figure out the back log elimination drive. Thanks for your help and Happy editing! pluma Ø 02:24, 19 September 2011 (UTC) Talkback![]() Message added 04:08, 19 September 2011 (UTC). A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles.
