Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation/Participants
This page is for requesting access to the AFC Helper script. If you wish to discuss this list, its requirements, or AFCH in general, do so at the main talk page.
Yup. One of these days I'll remember to do inactivity removals before re-adding folks who likely haven't reviewed in a while! Primefac (talk) 01:11, 26 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've previously been on the active list, commenting most recently with the AFCH, here, and here. I had some difficulties using the AFCH script to then accept articles, most recently with the Geraldine High School article, probably cache-related, or just my pitiful aging laptop. In my impatience, I manually cleaned up the draft and accepted it without using the AFCH script. I do routinely check the list of newly-accepted AfC articles, and use the rater script to assess content classification for articles not yet rated. I have been an active participant at 222 AFDs, mostly school-related and other organizations, Oregon-related, and biographies. I appreciate your reconsidering my status as an AFC reviewer. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 20:07, 21 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - you're a new page patroller, so you're granted AFCH by default, without a need to be on the list for the pseudoperm. -- asilvering (talk) 16:05, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I want to help Wikipedia become a better place. With more Wikipedians contributing, the better Wikipedia becomes. I strongly have the courage to excel in editing Wikipedia. Also many declines' reasons are written very strictly, so I want to write it in a more encouraging and friendly tone. RafaelHello!17:50, 6 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I’m Apollogizing, and I’ve been getting more involved in using Wikipedia specifically writing and cleaning up articles. I’ve enjoyed working on both individual articles and I'd really like to help with the AfC process as I know how discouraging it can be for fellow editors to have a draft stuck in the checking phase or rejected without clear feedback. I’ve read through the reviewing instructions and notability/deletion policies and feel ready to help others improve their submissions to further expand the website. You can check out my userpage for a clear sense of what I do and what I'm involved in. Apollogizing (talk) 20:00, 6 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, fails the subjective criteria, specifically declined drafts, copyright issues, and a lack of AFD participation. Primefac (talk) 20:14, 6 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Primefac (talk) 17:17, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to help in reducing the backlog of draft articles for review. I enjoy and have lots of experience with article cleanup and am well-versed in the Wikipedia guidelines.

I think this is an area where I could help. I already help with deletion by tagging new pages that satisfy CSD when I come across them, but as an AFC reviewer I could also help new editors with creating articles. I am familiar with the guidelines on notability and reputable sources. I have also read and understood the AFC reviewing guidelines. TurboSuperA+(connect)10:00, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@TurboSuperA+, do you really have no AfD experience? I could have sworn I'd seen you around there. I'm not sure if the AfD tool is breaking because of the + in your name or if I'm just confusing you with someone else. -- asilvering (talk) 16:07, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, I noticed that too. Honestly, my AfD record lately hasn't been great, but it was better before. However, I know to ask for help if I am unsure about something, or just skip it. My created articles record is good though! I don't think any were deleted from Mainspace, I think I had a draft rejected over a technical reason, but that article got successfully moved to Mainspace too. All of the articles I created passed review on the first go. With AfC I'm looking more to give good advice and help editors get articles approved (if they meet or can meet the criteria), rather than have them deleted. If you look through my history you will see that I edited a lot of newly-created articles, added sources, tried to give people useful tips, and so on. Ok, it turns out we can kind of kludge it with a search: [1]. If you're accepted as an AfC reviewer (so far, I haven't spotted any reason why you wouldn't be), make sure you turn on the AfC log so that if this happens with the AfC history script as well, so you've still got a log to look at. -- asilvering (talk) 16:26, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'm looking for new areas to contribute in, and I think I could do a decent job at AfC. I've participated in a fair, though not extraordinary amount of AfDs, and have also hung around places like Teahouse and Help desk, where I've had the opportunity of assisting people with their AfC submissions every once in a while. -- Maddy from Celeste (WAVEDASH)17:20, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have created a number articles (one of which was drafted through AfC), and recently been quite active in AfD, so I believe I have become quite familiar with notability guidelines in the past couple of months.
I also pay particular attention to vandalism and self promotion. Much of my CSD tags have been for blatant self promotion and I think that the AFCHS would be helpful for keeping on top of these as well as well.
I'll likely review new drafts to bands, electronic music producers and releases such as albums and EPs (as that's where a lot of my guideline knowledge is) but won't be limited to these topics of course. sksatsuma18:55, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a bit active now on Wikipedia, and I want to devote my time to evaluating, cleaning up, and reviewing drafts. I've done some work previously, having drafted spam or weak pages. I am well familiar with notability, reliable sources, verifiability, and other guidelines and the Wikipedia Manual of Style. I would be glad to join this project. I'm 2RDD and I've been an active contributor to Wikipedia for 2 years. I've created and edited several articles, and I'm familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I'm requesting AFC rights to streamline the article creation process and contribute more efficiently to the encyclopedia. Thank you for considering my request. 2RDD (talk) 21:35, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
2RDD, just a question, you were granted NPR recently for a trial; are you planning on re-applying for that permission (which will give you access to AFCH)? (please do notping on reply) Primefac (talk) 15:55, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, that's for you to decide. I just don't want to grant you AFCH access and then have to remove you from the list a week or two from now if/when you get NPR again. Primefac (talk) 16:40, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@CNMall41: Just to clarify, I Chose not to participate in the AfD discussion with a vote or comment. I only responded to address the concern about tag teaming and to clarify that I’m not editing in coordination with anyone regarding that article. 2RDD (talk) 11:21, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. The answers here misunderstand the questions to a degree that I'm not comfortable assigning AFCHP. AFC reviewers are frequently asked questions about their reviews and need to be able to answer them clearly. -- asilvering (talk) 16:48, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to contribute more to Wikipedia by reviewing draft articles through the AfC process, and I'm currently an active participant in Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines and topics related to Music. I'm also involved in AfD discussions, such as: 12

I have been editing Wikipedia for a while now, and it has brought me genuine enjoyment. I'd like to advance further and, more importantly, help ease the burden of unreviewed articles.
I have spent quite a few evenings reading through the guidelines and rules, and I feel ready to take on this role. I have created several articles (around 15; most of which I believe have already been reviewed), actively participated in Articles for Deletion discussions, and contributed to WikiProject Russia.
I hope the information above demonstrates my readiness, and that my application will be approved.

Hello. I am interested in participating in the AfC project, as I am confident this will be beneficial in helping me expand my knowledge of how WP:GNG and other specific notability guidelines work. I really enjoy using AfC and believe it is the best way to contribute articles to Wikipedia, I would go so far as to say it is actually better than simply moving a newly written article to mainspace. Though I understand this does mean the backlog numbers rise, I witnessed the great success of this years June 2025 Backlog Drive and would love to be apart of future drives (time permitting of course)! I believe I pass the criteria that are listed here. For experience, I have already submitted four articles through the AfC review process (with a fifth article in the works) and I am thrilled to say they were all accepted! I found the journey of researching, writing and submitting to be very fun and rewarding! I have also partaken in discussions at WP:AfD for the past couple months, this has been another very interesting experience with this AfD being my personal favourite so far! Finally, I am waiting to hear back from an NPP instructor so that I may become a student of WP:NPP/S (I think all 4 instructors are currently inactive). I apologise if this is too long and look forward to hearing back from you! Thanks for reading! 11WB (talk) 08:48, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was very busy on my phd the last few months, so didn't do any reviews, but I'd like to make time to help now it is submitted Lajmmoore (talk) 09:18, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'd be a good AFC reviewer because I've had experience in making articles and I just think I'd be good at it; I'd only review an article if I know that I could do it properly and in not too long. Jorge Lobo Dos Santos (talk) 14:14, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: 12 articles in mainspace, some with a highly questionable tone and some deleted for being an unsourced 1 line stub. No deletion activity at AfD except for a malformed redirect request. I can't do anything with this request because I'm not an administrator, but I'd encourage you to get more track record of creating more articles in 2025 for a good recent record to look at. I'd also encourage you to start joining in deletion related activities, not just limited to AfDs. Administrators will expect some sort of experience at deletion venues before giving out AFCH access. Not sure if this comment helps. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 01:07, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Requesting AfC reviewer rights for the first time. I'm interested in helping reduce the AfC submission backlog and assist newer editors by reviewing drafts and offering constructive feedback. I’ve read WP:AFC/RI and am familiar with key policies, including WP:N, GNG, NORG, and the basics of CSD and AfD. I’ve also gone through recent accepted and declined drafts to get a sense of how reviews are handled in practice. Goku from bd (talk) 19:43, 3 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
