ഗോൾഡൻ ലാൻഗുർ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഗീസ് ഗോൾഡൻ ലാൻഗുർ (Trachypithecus geei), ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ആസാമിലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ പ്രദേശത്തും ഭൂട്ടാന്റെ ബ്ലാക്ക് മൗണ്ടൻസിന്റെ തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള താഴ്വരകളിലും [3][4]കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ഓൾഡ് വേൾഡ് മങ്കിയാണ്.[5][6]ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്ന ഒരു സ്പീഷീസാണിത്.[4] ഹിമാലയൻ ജനത ഇതിനെ പവിത്രമായി കരുതിയിരുന്നു, 1950-കളിൽ പ്രകൃതിശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ ഇ. പി. ഗീ ഗോൾഡൻ ലാൻഗുറിനെ ആദ്യം പാശ്ചാത്യലോകത്തിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. [7][8] ഭൂട്ടാന്റെ ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത്, ക്യാപെഡ് langur T. pileatus എന്ന ഇനത്തെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഇതിൻറെ സങ്കരയിനങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[9]
