ഗ്രാൻഡ് എർഗ് ഒറിയന്റൽ (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് : Great Eastern Sand Sea) എന്നത് സഹാറ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മണൽക്കുന്നുകളുടെ കൂട്ടമാണ്‌. ഈ മണൽ കുന്നുകൾ അൾജീരിയയിലാണ് ഭൂരിഭാഗവും കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഗ്രാൻഡ്‌ എർഗ് 600 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിൽ , 200 കിലോമീറ്റർ വീതിയിലായി വ്യാപിച്ച് കിടക്കുന്നു. ഈ എർഗ് ന്റെ വടക്ക് കിഴക്കൻ പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ ടുണീഷ്യ വരെ എത്തുന്നു.

ഗ്രാൻഡ് എർഗ് ഓറിയന്റൽ വളരെ കുറച്ച് മഴ ലഭിക്കുന്ന പ്രകൃതിദത്ത പ്രദേശം ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന മരുഭൂമിയാണ്,. അൾജീരിയയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ എർഗ് ആണിത്, വലിപ്പത്തിൽ അടുത്തത് വളരെ ചെറിയ ഗ്രാൻഡ് എർഗ് ഓക്സിഡന്റൽ ('പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ മണൽ കടൽ') ആണ്. സഹാറയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ എർഗ് ഒരുപക്ഷേ ലിബിയയുടെയും ഈജിപ്തിന്റെയും ഉൾനാടൻ അതിർത്തിയിൽ വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്ന അസ്-സഹ്‌റ അൽ-ലിബിയ ആയിരിക്കും. എർഗ് എന്നത് ഒരു തമാഷെക് ബെർബർ പദമെന്നതുപോലെ^[1][2] കലയുടെ ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായ പദവുമാണ്.
