നിക്കോളാസ് സർക്കോസിഫ്രാൻസിന്റെ 23-ആം പ്രസിഡണ്ടാണ്. 2007 മെയ് 16-നാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം പ്രസിഡണ്ടായി സ്ഥാനമേറ്റത്. പ്രസിഡണ്ട് പദത്തിലെത്തുന്നതിനു മുൻപ് സർക്കോസി, 'യുനിയൻ ഫോർ എ പോപ്പുലർ മൂവ്മെന്റ്' എന്ന പാർട്ടിയുടെ നേതാവായിരുന്നു. മുൻപ് ജാക്ക് ഷിറാക് ഫ്രാൻസിന്റെ പ്രസിഡണ്ടായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ സർക്കോസി മന്ത്രിസഭയിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇറ്റാലിയൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി സിൽവിയൊ ബെർലുസ്കൊനിയുടെ ഫ്രഞ്ച് നിയമവിദഗ്ദ്ധനായും സർക്കോസി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മികച്ച പ്രസംഗകനും ധനകാര്യ വിദ്ഗ്ദനുമാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം.
രണ്ടാ ലോക മഹായുദധത്തിനു ശേഷം ജനിച്ച ആദ്യ ഫ്രഞ്ച് പ്രസിഡണ്ടാണ് സർകൊസി. ഹങ്കേറിയൻ വംശജനായ ഇദ്ദേഹം കർമം കൊണ്ട് വക്കീൽ ആയിരുന്നു. പൊതുവെ "സർക്കൊ" എന്നാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം അറിയപെടുന്നത്.
സ്വകാര്യജീവിതം
1955 ജനുവരി 28-നാണ് സർക്കോസിയുടെ ജനനം. മുൻപ് രണ്ട് വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഇദ്ദേഹം 2008 ഫെബ്രുവരി 2-ന് വിവാഹം കഴിച്ച കാർല ബ്രൂനിയാണ് ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഭാര്യ.
