തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ ചലച്ചിത്രവേദിയിലെ ഒരു നടി ആണ് പ്രയാഗ റോസ് മാർട്ടിൻ. കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ആദ്യ സിനിമ 2014-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ തമിഴ് ചിത്രം പിസാസ് ആയിരുന്നു.

ജീവിതരേഖ

എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ കൊച്ചിയിലാണ് പ്രയാഗ മാർട്ടിൻ ജനിച്ചത്. അച്ഛൻ - മാർട്ടിൻ പീറ്റർ, അമ്മ - ജിജി മാർട്ടിൻ. എളമക്കരയിലെ ഭവൻസ് വിദ്യാ മന്ദിറിൽ നിന്ന് സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ അവർ എറണാകുളം സെന്റ് തെരേസാസ് കോളേജിൽനിന്ന് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ലിറ്ററേച്ചർ ആന്റ് കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷനിൽ ബിരുദം നേടി. തുടർന്ന് ട്രാവൽ ആന്റ് ടൂറിസത്തിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം നേടി. പരിശീലനം ലഭിച്ച ഒരു നർത്തകി കൂടിയാണ് പ്രയാഗ. സിനിമകളിലേക്ക് കടക്കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് ഏതാനും വ്യവസായ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ മോഡലായി അവർ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

സിനിമ

2009-ൽ സാഗർ എലിയാസ് ജാക്കി റീലോഡഡ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ ഒരു ചെറിയ വേഷത്തിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് അരങ്ങേറ്റം നടത്തി. തുടർന്ന് 2012 ൽ ഉസ്താദ് ഹോട്ടൽ എന്ന സിനിമയിലും ചെറിയ വേഷത്തിൽ അഭിനയിച്ച പ്രയാഗ മിഷ്കിന്റെ സംവിധാനത്തിൽ 2014-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ തമിഴിലെ പിസാസ് എന്ന സിനിമയിലൂടെയായിരുന്നു കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.[1] ശേഷം ഉണ്ണി മുകുന്ദൻ നായകനായി അഭിനയിച്ച 2016-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു മുറൈ വന്ത് പാർത്തായ എന്ന ആദ്യ മലയാള മുഴുനീള സിനിമയിലൂടെ നായികയായി അഭിനയിച്ചു.

പാവ, കട്ടപ്പനയിലെ ഋത്വിക് റോഷൻ, ഒരേ മുഖം, ഫുക്രി, വിശ്വാസപൂർവ്വം മൻസൂർ, പോക്കിരി സൈമൺ, രാമലീല, തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി സിനിമകൾ പ്രയാഗയെ തേടി എത്തിയിരുന്നു. ദിലീപിനൊപ്പം നായികയായി അഭിനയിച്ച രാമലീലയിലെ കഥാപാത്രം ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
