മഞ്ഞവാലൻ പാറ്റപിടിയന്[3][4][5][6]Yellow-rumped flycatcher, Korean flycatcher , Tricolor flycatcher എന്നൊക്കെ പേരുകളുണ്ട്. ഈ പക്ഷിയുടെ ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം Ficedula zanthopygia എന്നാണ്.
ഇവ കിഴക്കൻ ഏഷ്യയിൽമംഗോളിയ, ട്രൻസ്ബൈക്കൽ, തെക്കൻ ചൈന, കൊറിയ, ജപ്പാൻ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നു. തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് മലയ് ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലേക്കും തെക്കേ ഏഷ്യയിലേക്കും ദേശാടനം നടത്താറുണ്ട്.

ഇവയ്ക്ക് മഞ്ഞ അരപ്പട്ടയുണ്ട്. പിടയ്ക്കും പൂവന് ഒരു വയസ്സു വരേയും മുകൾ വശമ് ഒലീവ് ചാരനിറമ്മാണ്, കറുത്ത വാലും. [7]
പ്രജനനം
ഇവ കുന്നിന്റെ താഴ്വരകലിളാണ് കൂടുകെട്ടുന്നത്. ഇവയുടെ അധികാര പ്രിധി 2000-5000 ച. മീറ്ററാണ്.3-4 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് പിട കൂടുണ്ടാക്കും. ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം 4-7 മുട്ടകളിടും. പിട അടയിരുന്നു് 11-12 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് മുട്ട വിരിയും. കൂടിന്റെ 70 മീ ചുറ്റളവിൽ പൂവൻ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇരതേടും. കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൽ 14-15 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് പറക്കാറാകും. [8][9]മദ്ധ്യഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇവയെ ആദ്യമായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്, 1989ൽ ആണ്. അതിൻ ശേഷമാണ് തെക്കു പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഇന്ത്യയിലും ശ്രീലങ്കയിലും കാണാപ്പെട്ടത്. [10][11]
