ਅਰਮੀਨੀ ਨਸਲਕੁਸ਼ੀ ^[8] (ਅਰਮੀਨੀਆਈ: Հայոց ցեղասպանություն Hayots tseghaspanutyun),^{[note 3]}ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਮੀਨੀ ਹਾਲੋਕਾਸਟ,^[9] ਅਰਮੀਨੀ ਘਲੂਘਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ, ਅਰਮੀਨੀ ਰਵਾਇਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ Medz Yeghern (Armenian: Մեծ Եղեռն, "ਅਜ਼ੀਮ ਆਫ਼ਤ"),^[10] ਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਲਤਨਤ ਉਸਮਾਨੀਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਰਮੀਨੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੱਧ ਕਤਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ 10 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ 15 ਲੱਖ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਨਸੰਹਾਰ 24 ਅਪਰੈਲ 1915 ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ 250 ਆਰਮੀਨੀ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਦਰਅਸਲ ਕੁਸਤੁਨਤੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੂਖ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਰਮੀਨੀ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਯੁੱਧ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਕਤਲਾਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਸਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਪੜਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ: ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਤਿਆਵਾਂ, ਫੌਜ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਬਰਨ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਢਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਰੇਗਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਪਦਯਾਤਰਾ (ਡੈਥ ਮਾਰਚ) ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਣਾ। ਤੁਰਕੀ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖਦੇੜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਲੁੱਟ-ਖਸੁੱਟ, ਭੁੱਖੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾਣ, ਬਲਾਤਕਾਰ, ਮਾਰ ਕੁੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਹਤਿਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ।^[11]^[12]^[13]
