ਗੇਟਵੇ ਆਫ ਇੰਡਿਆ

ਗੇਟਵੇ ਆਫ ਇੰਡਿਆ^[2] ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜੀ :The Gateway of।ndia ਇੰਡਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਨਗਰ ਮੁਂਬਈ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤਟ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਸਾਉਥ ਮੁਂਬਈ ਦੇ ਅਪੋਲੋ ਬੰਦਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਬ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਰਗਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉਂਚਾਈ 26 ਮੀਟਰ ( 85 ਫੀਟ ) ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਾਰਜ ਪੰਚਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਮੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਆਗਮਨ ( 2 ਦਿਸੰਬਰ, 1911 ) ਦੀ ਯਾਦਗਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੁਸ਼ਿਲਪੀ ਜਾਜ ਵਿੰਟੈਟ ਸਨ।
