ਬਚਪਨ

ਗ੍ਰੇਟਾ ਲੋਵਿਸਾ ਗੁਸਤਾਫਸਨ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਸੋਡਰਰਮਮ, ਸਟਾਕਹੋਮ, ਸਵੀਡਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਅਨਾ ਲੋਵਿਸਾ (ਨੀ ਕਾਰਲਸਨ, 1872-1944) ਦੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੈਮ ਫੈਕਟਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਕਾਰਲ ਅਲਫਰੇਡ ਗੁਸਤਾਫਸਨ (1871-19 20) ਵੀ। ਗਾਰਬੋ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਰਾ, ਸਵੈਨ ਅਲਫਰੇਡ (1898-19 67) ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੈਣ, ਅਲਵਾ ਮਾਰੀਆ (1903-1926) ਸੀ।
