ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ, ਸਿਧਾਂਤਿਕ, ਕਾਲਪਨਿਕ ਜਾਂ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲਿੰਗ ਅਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਈ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ, ਅਨੁਭਵਾਂ, ਹਿੱਤਾਂ, ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮਾਨਵ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸਾਸ਼ਤਰੀ, ਸੰਚਾਰ, ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਧਿਐਨ, ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕਤਾ, ਘਰੇਲੂ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ, ਸਾਹਿਤ, ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ।^[1]^[2]

ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਲਿੰਗ ਅਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਤਕਰਾ, ਵਸਤੂਕਰਨ (ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਵਸਤੂਕਰਨ), ਜ਼ੁਲਮ, ਪਿੱਤਰ ਸੱਤਾ,^[3]^[4] ਸਟੀਰਿਓਟਾਈਪ, ਕਲਾ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ^[5] ਅਤੇ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਕਲਾ,^[6]^[7] ਅਤੇ ਸੁਹਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਥੀਮ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।^[8]^[9]

ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ 1794 'ਚ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਮੈਰੀ ਵੋਲਸਟੌਨਕ੍ਰਾਫਟ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ,^[10] "ਦ ਚੇਂਜਿੰਗ ਵੁਮੈਨ"^[11] "ਐਂਟ ਆਈ ਏ ਵੁਮੈਨ",^[12] ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋਏ। "ਦ ਚੇਂਜਿੰਗ ਵੁਮੈਨ" ਇੱਕ ਨਾਵਾਜੋ ਮਿੱਥ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੈਡਿਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।^[13]
