This template is used on 32,000+ pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.
The primary purpose of this template is for when using {{Portal}} would cause formatting problems. Sometimes images and infoboxes can push the regular, vertical {{portal}} template outside of the "See also" section. This template forms a horizontal bar, instead of a vertical, sidebar-like template.
This template is well suited for articles that have more portals than related articles in the "See also" section, which would cause a regular {{portal}} sprawl into the next section, although a regular {{portal}} with {{clear}} would sometimes work better, depending on how much white space {{portal}} with {{clear}} would cause.
Usage
To add the template to a page, use the following code:

For a version with no border, use border=no:
{{Portal bar|portal 1|portal 2|...|border=no}}
Location
Within articles, this template is usually placed at the bottom of the article.
Image
The portal image name is found using Module:Portal. Please see Module:Portal#Image for instructions on how to add, update, or remove an image.
{{Random portal component}}—Used on the portal main page to randomly display articles from the portal sub-pages.
{{Random portal component with nominate}}—Used on the portal main page to randomly display articles from the portal sub-pages, adding the option to nominate other Featured foo articles.
{{Random subpage}}—Used on the portal main page to randomly display articles from the portal sub-pages. This template is best used for creating randomly populated Did you know... sections on the portal main page that are intended to include multiple Did you know... facts.
{{Subpage}}—Used to output a box containing a link to subpage.
{{Numbered subpages}}—Used to create article links on portal sub-pages with 50 links.
This template adds a bar of portals. It is usually used just above an article's navboxes or in its "See also" section when using [[Template:Portal]] would cause formatting problems.
