ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਨਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਬਣਨ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਬਣਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਵਿਕੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ:

1. ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 1000 ਮੇਨਸਪੇਸ ਸੋਧਾਂ ਭਾਵ ਲੇਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧਾਂ। ਫਰਮਿਆਂ, ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ, ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਤ।
2. ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 3 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਗਰਮ
3. ਲੇਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮ

ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਰ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਮਤਦਾਨ ਤਾਂ ਅਖੀਰ ਹੈ ਜਲਦਬਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ । ਹਰ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਯੋਗ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਹੀਂ । ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੀਤੀ ਸਫਲ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂ ਤਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ । ਕੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਅਪਣਾ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਾਇਦੇ ਜਾਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ ਸਫਿਆਂ , ਜਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੁਨਰ ਗਠਨ, ਫਰਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਲਈ ਕਿਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹਨ।ਹੋਰ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੇ ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਜਾਵੇ।ਜਦ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਯੋਗ ਸਮਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਯਥਾ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਵਿਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਵਜ਼ਨ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਤੇ ਚਿਰੰਜੀਵ ਦੂਰਗਾਮੀ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ ।ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਕੁਝ ਤੇ ਕੱਲ ਕੁਝ ਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲਝ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ। ਨੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਪੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਵੇ।--Guglani (ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ) 17:45, 15 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2015 (UTC)[ਜਵਾਬ]

ਕੋਈ ਜਲਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜੀ। ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਮ ਜਿਹੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ। ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਤਦਾਨ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਨੀਤੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਵੇਂ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਬਣਨ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕੀ ਸਾਫਟਵੇਅਰ ਦਾ ਹਾਲੇ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਅਸੂਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਅਸੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਆਮ ਜਿਹੇ ਨੁਕਤੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਕੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ।--Satdeep Gill (ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ) 18:01, 15 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2015 (UTC)[ਜਵਾਬ]

You have started bullying here also , you have removed points raised by me from draft and got started voting even before.voting is last resort first a draft has to be proposed to community , amendment to draft should be invited first so that everyone gets a chance in policy framing, and then voting should be permitted , this is no way to frame a policy. In such situation only extension of existing administrators should be sought , let new administrators frame this policy. Policies are not made in such haste . Due time for draft amendment should be given . Wiki is not monopoly of one or two administrators. Let other administrators also review the draft.in wiki I am telling again and again weightage is to points and aspects. I think perhaps I'll go through semi-willy-nilly and make a bunch of people who have been around for awhile sysops. I want to dispel the aura of "authority" around the position. It's merely a technical matter that the powers given to sysops are not given out to everyone.

I don't like that there's the apparent feeling here that being granted sysop status is a really special thing.

My comments are not a personal attack. These describe only manner in which you are acting about important issues such as policies.

1. No time frame and opportunity is being given to think and amend the draft proposed by you. Rather any amendments done by me are removed from draft and put at a separate place suggesting me that I should invite separate voting for my amendment .
2. My Suggestion to get voting and discussion done, clause wise or aspect wise , is just brushed aside saying voting on my draft is already started/ done. That should be implemented first and then any amendments to policy can be done any time.
3. Inordinate Haste has been shown in putting draft to vote.

Is this manner adopted for policy making according to established wiki norms

Any Policy for making request for Administrators ,makes existing administrators more powerful by empowering to reject an aspirant for administrator ,on this basis , because administrator is policy enforcing agent of wikimedia foundation. We have to be careful in each clause of any policy , there should be no ambiguity of words to make the task of administrator easy and transparent.for example ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਗਰਮ active since at least three months means ' user while applying for administrator has registered at least three months before and has become active by making a single edit at least three months or 90 days before, whereas ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਰਿਹਾ remained continuously active for three months means ' in each 7 day span of those three months when he remained continuously active , user has made at least one edit'. That is why I asked Satdeep to explain term ਸਰਗਰਮ in scope of policy.Further a tool should be made available to all users to know which users are eligible for administrator so that need for rejection by administrator does not arise. ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਚੋਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਐਡਿਟਿੰਗ/ਟਰਾਂਸਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ੋਧਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਲੱਗ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਜਿਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਲੱਗ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਅਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੈਂ ਇੰਨਾ ਕਹਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜਨ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਚਾਹੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਚਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਚਾਹੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਹੀ ਨਵਾਂ ਖਾਤਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੇ ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਹੋਵੇ ਚਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ,,,,ਸਿਰਫ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੋ ਕਾਲਡ "ਸਰਗਰਮ" ਐਡੀਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ| --Param munde (ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ) 15:27, 17 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2015 (UTC)[ਜਵਾਬ]

• Considering your suggested criteria , it seems many of your old users even administrators who had contributed a lot to punjabi wiki , who are very knowledgable about wiki software and very useful to the project with excellent qualities will not remain eligible to be administrator because they are not so to say very very active in a particular month span for an intermittent period. • Join/host an event. We already have more than 80, and hope to have many more.
• Talk to local press. In the past 15 years, Wikipedia has accomplished extraordinary things. We’ve made a handy summary of milestones and encourage you to add your own. More resources, including a press release template and resources on working with the media, are also available.
• Design a Wikipedia 15 logo. In place of a single icon for Wikipedia 15, we’re making dozens. Add your own with something fun and representative of your community. Just use the visual guide so they share a common sensibility.
• Share a message on social media. Tell the world what Wikipedia means to you, and add #wikipedia15 to the post. We might re-tweet or share your message!

Everything is linked on the Wikipedia 15 Meta page. You’ll find a set of ten data visualization works that you can show at your events, and a list of all the Wikipedia 15 logos that community members have already designed.

The Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) has launched a consultation to help create and prioritize WMF strategy beginning July 2016 and for the 12 to 24 months thereafter. This consultation will be open, on Meta, from 18 January to 26 February, after which the Foundation will also use these ideas to help inform its Annual Plan. (More on our timeline can be found on that Meta page.)

Your input is welcome (and greatly desired) at the Meta discussion, 2016 Strategy/Community consultation.

Apologies for English, where this is posted on a non-English project. We thought it was more important to get the consultation translated as much as possible, and good headway has been made there in some languages. There is still much to do, however! We created m:2016 Strategy/Translations to try to help coordinate what needs translation and what progress is being made. :)

  • ਮੈਂ ਇਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋ ਬੋਲ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣੇ ਚਾਹਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਆਦਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ-ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੀਆਂ। ਭਾਸ਼ਾ-ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ-ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਧਾਰਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਰਬੀ, ਫ਼ਾਰਸੀ, ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਆਦਿ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਝਿਜਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਰੇਡੀਓ ਜਾਂ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਆਦਿ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੇਝਿਜਕ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ। ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ 1947 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਗੋਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਥੋਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਗਰਾਫ਼ੀਆ ਛੱਡਕੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਗੋਲ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਸੈਕੜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ।
    ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਕੁਦਰਤੀਪਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਰ ਗ੍ਰੀਅਰਸਨ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ:
    There is a flavour of wheaten flour and reek of cottage smoke about Punjabi and Sindhi, which is infinitely more natural and captivating then anything which the hide bound Pandit-ridden languages of the eastern parts of India can show us.
