Android Go is a lighter version of the Android, it runs very fast for lower-end and very cheap smartphones. It was released on 5 December 2017.[1] It works for smartphones with 2GB or less, for smartphones runs Android 15 Go, it works for only 3GB or more.[2]
Alcatel 1X became the first smartphone to run Android Go, which is released on February 2018.[3] Nokia 1 also became the first Nokia smartphone to run Android Go, which is released on April 2018.[4]
Apps
Android Go comes with these apps such as Google Go, Gallery Go, Google Assistant Go, Gmail Go and many others. It also launched Google Camera Go for Android Go smartphones.[5]
On 6 May 2022, YouTube Go will shut down in August 2022.[6]
