Driver: Parallel Lines is a racing action-adventure video game. It was published by Atari for the PS2 and Xbox and by Ubisoft for the PC and Wii. The game was developed by Reflections Interactive.[1] It is the fourth game in the Driver video game series. It was released on 14 March 2006 in North America, 17 March 2006 in Europe, and 23 March 2006 in Australia for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was later released on June 26, 2007 in North America, 28 June 2007 in Australia, and 29 June 2007 in Europe for the Wii and Windows.[2][3][4][5][6][7] It is the first game in the series to not feature undercover NYPD detective John Tanner as the protagonist. The game is set in New York City in 1978. The player controls TK, a street racer and former gang member, as they try and get revenge against his former gang after he was framed for the murder of a drug lord.[8] It is the sequel to the 2004 video game Driver 3. The next game titled Driver: San Francisco was released on August 30, 2011. ReceptionThe game recieved mixed reviews by game critics. Critics said that they liked the frame rate, music, story and game improvements such as firearm accuracy and on-foot movement. However, critics felt the game was unpolished with the in-game environment looking rough and AI of the cops not being great.[9][10][11][12] References
