செருமானியப் பேரரசின் படைத்துறையின் வான் பிரிவாக முதல் உலகப் போர் காலத்தில் செயற்பட்ட வான்படை (Luftstreitkräfte) வெர்சாய் ஒப்பந்தம் அடிப்படையில், செருமனி வான் படையைக் கொண்டிருக்க முடியாது என்பதால் 1920 இல் கலைக்கப்பட்டது.
