Typing tools to type Tamil are integrated to Tamil wikipedia: Now you can type Tamil in Tamil wikipedia without the support of any external tool. This is done by the implementation of Narayam extension maintained by the mw:Internationalization_and_localization_tools team.

Known issues

~~the shortcut key CTRL + M is not working in Google chrome. Need to find a workaround for this.~~ This issue is fixed.

Community Consensus to use the latest mw:Extension:Narayam

It is indicated here that support to <inputbox> for typing tool may not be available in the existing old javascript solution. It is advised to move to the extension instead of the javascript. Please provide your support to move to the latest version. I will make sure there are no compatibility issues due to the migration.

The extension has been installed, please blank both Mediawiki:Vector.js and Mediawiki:Monobook.js to remove old typing solution, sometimes deleting them will not remove the tool so blanking is preferred. Thank you. --Junaid 16:06, 14 சூலை 2011 (UTC)[பதிலளி]
