加伦巴巨龙（属名：Garumbatitan，意为“加伦巴的巨人”）是多孔椎龙类蜥脚下目恐龙已灭绝的一个属，化石发现于西班牙白垩纪的莫雷利亚黏土组（英语：Arcillas de Morella Formation）。该属包含单一物种莫雷利亚加伦巴巨龙（G. morellensis），所知于多件部分骨骼。^[1]

发现与命名

1998年，密克尔·菲格斯（Miquel G. Fígols）在西班牙卡斯特利翁省莫雷利亚市附近梅斯拉特盆地（Maestrat Basin）的沉积物中发现了莫雷利亚黏土组（英语：Arcillas de Morella Formation）的圣安东尼德拉韦斯帕化石点（Sant Antoni de la Vespa fossil site）。随后于2005及2008年野外考察期间挖出加伦巴巨龙化石。已知材料属于多具体型不同的个体。构成最大个体遗骸的正模标本包含一系列关节连接的颈椎和背椎、部分背椎椎体、肋骨、尾椎、人字骨、一个锁间骨（英语：interclavicle）、两个股骨、胫骨及腓骨、右距骨、大部分右脚以及两个跖骨。其中包括颈椎-背椎系列、肋骨、尾椎、人字骨、一个不完整的髂骨以及左股骨、胫骨和腓骨在内的部分骨骼尚未清修完毕。属于一具较小个体的额外化石材料被发现与正模标本相关，包括肋骨、两个耻骨及两条接近完整、且存在与正模存在明显重叠材料的后肢。这些骨骼被指定为副模标本（英语：paratype）。三个左跖骨及两个左趾骨亦被归入该属。属于较小标本的额外材料显示这组遗骸代表至少四具个体。^[1]

化石材料于2016年一篇摘要中首次公布，随后在莫丘等人2017年的论文中被描述成“分类不明的巨龙形类”。^[2]^[3]

2023年，莫丘等人据此化石遗骸描述了多孔椎龙类蜥脚下目新属新种莫雷利亚加伦巴巨龙（Garumbatitan morellensis）。属名“Garumbatitan”组合当地最高峰加伦巴山（加泰罗尼亚语：Mola de la Garumba）及大型蜥脚类学名常见后缀“titan”，指希腊神话中的前奥林匹斯神祗。种名“morellensis”取自莫雷利亚黏土组及附近发现了首批西班牙恐龙遗骸（包括加伦巴巨龙）的莫雷利亚市。^[1]

描述

本属许多独特衍征均在于脚部结构上，包括缺乏跟骨（英语：calcaneum）、跖骨纤细且第二及第五跖骨较短、第三趾上收缩的脚爪及第五趾缺乏趾骨（此特征为泰坦巨龙类所共有）。此外，加伦巴巨龙股骨上有一个发育良好的侧突，该突起可能比任何其它蜥脚类都要明显。胫骨长度为股骨的64%。在其近亲塔斯塔维斯龙身上，胫骨长度则为股骨的55%。加伦巴巨龙的腓骨直且粗壮，相比之下塔斯塔维斯龙腓骨则更加弯曲。^[1]

分类

对加伦巴巨龙化石材料的初步研究认为该分类单元可能与多孔椎龙类中的劳亚龙形类存在亲缘关系。^[3]然而该演化支是存在疑问的，因为已有几项研究将其置于大鼻龙类中的各种不同位置，且所含成员也有很大变动，或干脆是一个不受支持的并系群。^[4]莫丘等人（2023年）将加伦巴巨龙恢复为大鼻龙类演化支巨龙形类中的原始多孔椎龙类成员，但未能找到支持其与劳亚龙形类关系的证据。系统发育分析将加伦巴巨龙置于较东北巨龙更衍生、但比塔斯塔维斯龙更原始的位置。分析结果如以下分支图所示：^[1]

加伦巴巨龙发现于莫雷利亚黏土组（英语：Arcillas de Morella Formation）的一层中，地质年龄可追溯至早白垩世巴列姆阶。还从该地层中命名了硬棘龙类鸟脚类的莫雷利亚齿龙、贝尼萨尔禽龙和曼特尔龙近缘属（cf. Mantellisaurus）以及棘龙科兽脚类巴利沃纳猎龙和冠军龙。^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]两种龟鳖目分类单元（罗氏布氏龟（英语：Brodiechelys royoi）及Eodortoka）、一种未命名长锁龙科蛇颈龙以及不同于加伦巴巨龙的分类不明巨龙形类残骸亦已得到描述。^[9]^[10]^[1]
