印度创作人抄袭事件

2021年3月，由加拿大词曲创作人休·哈里森（Hugh Harrison）创作，曹思平演唱的1986年经典曲目《相信我吧！新加坡》在被爆在印度被抄袭套用成印度爱国歌曲《我们办得到》（We can achieve）。《我们办得到》被指将《相信我吧！新加坡》当中所有的“新加坡”一词都改成“印度”，其他词句几乎原封不动。[26]《我们办得到》的“创作人”Joey Mendoza在网上发言辩称自己早在1983年的孟买就创作了《我们办得到》，并在当地非常受欢迎。休·哈里森回应称Joey Mendoza将“很难”提供证据证明他确实在1983年创作了这首歌曲，他解释该词曲是在“（新加坡）政府、代理商和音乐制作团队的共同努力下”花了“几个月的时间”完成的，而这一过程也是“有据可查的”。[27]
