《大英雄 》（英語：G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero 美國 Sunbow Productions 公司所製作的動畫 作品，也是G.I. Joe「最初」的卡通 版本。
從1983年至1986年間總計95集的兩部迷你系列、兩季的電視 動畫集合而成。
動畫作畫為外包製作，其動畫作畫製作主要由日本的東映動畫 完成，東映動畫外包參與了所有95集以及電影的作畫製作。
台灣 版本從1986年（民國 75年）至1991年（民國80年）由中視 首播；香港 版本由亞洲電視 黃金台（本港台 前身）播出。
「G.I. Joe」原為美國 玩具 廠商「孩之寶 」於1964年所生產的12英吋 軍事 可動人偶 ；而後1982年推出了以3.75英吋 的新尺寸『大英雄（A Real American Hero）』系列，潤飾成為正反兩派團體相互交戰的男童取向科幻 戰爭 童玩。並在 1984年至1993年間由驚奇漫畫 出版社 編繪成共有155集的漫畫 ，進而成為本版本動畫 的故事設定基礎。
恐怖組織「眼鏡蛇（Cobra）」企圖要征服世界，美國 政府為了保衛社稷的樂利安康而組成了「除暴突擊隊」（G.I. Joe），不惜赴湯蹈火、除暴安良來伸張正義與其對抗。

《戰鷹特攻隊 》（G.I.Joe: The Movie） 本片原先預定將於戲院上映，卻因先前《變形金剛 （Transformers）》與《小白馬（My Little Pony ）》兩片的電影 銷售票房 不佳，而改以直接發行錄影帶 的方式於1987年4月20日發售。台灣 於90年代間曾在東森電視 上連同電影 一併重播Sunbow Productions 版TV系列。
原定公爵在電影中被眼鏡蛇大帝刺死，可是上述變形金剛大電影的「柯柏文之死」引來觀衆强烈的負面反彈，於是戲本改成公爵在重創昏迷後於結尾成功救活。
1989年《魔音戰將 G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero ） 由DIC Entertainment 所製作的版本；內容承續Sunbow Productions 版的劇情。台灣 於90年代末間曾於首華卡通台 播映。 由Hanna-Barbera Productions所製作的版本。 2005年《G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 》 由日本 GONZO 動畫 公司所製作的版本。 2009年《G.I. Joe: Resolute 》 配合真人電影推出的版本。
由Reel FX Creative Studios所製作，派拉蒙電影公司 直接發行影片的電腦動畫 版本。
《G.I. Joe: Spy Troops 》：2003年上映。
《G.I. Joe: Valor vs Venom 》：2004年上映。
^ 台灣 中視 在部分集數中曾又將撞船 譯做「辛巴達」。
