よろこべや、たたえよや（英語: Thine Be the Glory）は、讃美歌の一つである。

概要

フランス系スイス人作詞家エドモン・ルイ・ビュドリー（英語版）(Edmond Louis Budry)が、1884年、聖句から讃美歌の歌詞（フランス語）を作り、ドイツのヘンデルのオラトリオ「ユダス・マカベウス」のpart 58 (no. 3) の「見よ勇者は帰る」See the conquering hero comes からの旋律に付けた。

この讃美歌は結婚式や葬式で讃美される。これはオランダ王室では伝統となっていてフランス語の原詩で歌われる。1925年に英語の讃美歌に翻訳された。イースターの歌としてもよく歌われる。ナチス・ドイツの時代は禁じられた。

日本では、「若き日はふたたびあらず、歌えよいざ、良き友よ．．．」などの歌詞も付けられていて、大相撲の優勝力士、高校野球の優勝校の表彰にテーマ曲として使われている。^[1]
