Запрошуємо Вас долучитися до конкурсу статей «Вікі любить музику», що проходитиме з 1 по 30 червня 2018 року. Метою конкурсу є створення і покращення статей в Українській Вікіпедії на музичну тематику — від теорії музики й музичних термінів, до статей про улюблені гурти та альбоми. Ми підготували список статей до створення, але він далеко не є вичерпним. Приєднуйтесь!

Привіт! Конкурс «Вікі любить музику» завершився: створено чи поліпшено 539 статей, понад 50 учасників. Наше журі розпочне роботу вже через кілька днів, але нам хотілося б, щоб якість конкурсних робіт була вищою, тому організаційний комітет дає можливість поліпшити вже створені (чи поліпшені) конкурсні статті до 09 липня включно. Зокрема, зверніть увагу:

• чи є зауваження до статей, що Ви створили чи поліпшили, тут: Вікіпедія:Вікі любить музику/Конкурсні статті;
• чи Ваша конкурсна стаття має елемент Вікіданих (детальніше тут), адже без нього статтю не буде зараховано;
• перечитайте статтю ще раз, чи там нема неузгоджених речень, чи є наведені джерела тощо.

Hope you are all doing well! Now is the time to sign up for Wikipedia Asian Month 2020, which will take place in this November.

For organizers:

Here are the basic guidance and regulations for organizers. Please remember to:

1. use Fountain tool (you can find the usage guidance easily on meta page), or else you and your participants’ will not be able to receive the prize from WAM team.
2. Add your language projects and organizer list to the meta page before October 29th, 2020.
3. Inform your community members WAM 2020 is coming soon!!!
4. If you want WAM team to share your event information on Facebook / twitter, or you want to share your WAM experience/ achievements on our blog, feel free to send an email to info@asianmonth.wiki or PM us via facebook.

If you want to hold a thematic event that is related to WAM, a.k.a. WAM sub-contest. The process is the same as the language one.

Here are some updates from WAM team:

1. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year we hope all the Edit-a-thons are online not physical ones.
2. The international postal systems are not stable enough at the moment, WAM team have decided to send all the qualified participants/ organizers extra digital postcards/ certifications. (You will still get the paper ones!)
3. Our team has created a meta page so that everyone tracking the progress and the delivery status.

Долучитися до Вікімарафону можна двома способами:

• Онлайн до неділі 2 лютого включно — просто створіть статтю на будь-яку тему згідно з правилами Вікіпедії => поставте на її сторінку обговорення шаблон {{Вікімарафон 2025}} => запишіться на цій сторінці, щоб отримати сувенір поштою за ваш внесок.
• До офлайн-вікізустрічі, якщо вона буде проходити у вашому місті. Ми підтримуємо десятки подій по всій Україні і для українців за кордоном. За списком можна стежити на цій сторінці (вона постійно оновлюється) та в соцмережах «Вікімедіа Україна» (Телеграм • Фейсбук • інші)

Долучайтеся самі та запрошуйте друзів! Якщо потрібно освіжити в пам’яті основи редагування Вікіпедії, можна зареєструватися на вебінар (о 19:00 в четвер 30 січня або о 14:00 в суботу 1 лютого) або переглянути наш відеокурс.

Вітаю! Дуже дякую, що вже долучилися до конкурсу «Європейська весна»! Маємо кілька нагадувань та новин від організаційної команди:

• Перш за все нагадуємо, що покращувати опрацьовані вами статті можна до кінця конкурсу, тобто до 31 травня. Чим повнішою та якіснішою буде стаття на момент конкурсу, тим більше у вас шансів отримати призове місце.

• Організаційний комітет завершив доповнювати списки статей. Тепер для переважної більшості країн зверху сторінки списку ви можете знайти перелік статей, які популярні у відповідному мовному розділі, але короткі або відсутні в українському. Запрошуємо користуватися цими списками, адже саме ці теми з вищою ймовірністю будуть цікаві читачам.

• У процесі оновлення списків ми виявили, що список для Хорватії був помилково не створений раніше. Перепрошуємо! Ми створили список для Хорватії та підвищили коефіцієнт для цієї країни у конкурсному балі, щоб компенсувати це. (Детальніше про те, як вираховується конкурсний бал, можна прочитати в регламенті).

• Нагадуємо, що крім Вікіпедії конкурс також триває у Вікіцитатах. А у Вікіпедії є спеціальні відзнаки від партнерів за написання статей на теми Польщі та Німеччини.

• Якщо ви не претендуєте на призи, запрошуємо зголошуватися до журі конкурсу, яке оцінюватиме статті по завершенню конкурсного періоду.

Hi everyone,

We want to announce the tenth CEE Catch Up session, which will be dedicated to the Temporary accounts, as this important change is going to affect every Wikipedia soon, so it is important for patrollers and functionaries like you to understand this change. On wikis where temporary accounts are enabled, IP addresses of unregistered editors are not visible publicly. Only those who fight spam, vandalism, harassment and disinformation have access to IP addresses there.

The session will take place on 10th of June 2025, 18:00-19:00 CEST (check your local time).

Перша подія, під назвою «Лайфхаки для патрульних і адміністраторів», пройде у вівторок 24 червня о 18:00. Зробимо огляд неочевидних корисних функцій та інструментів, які можете використовувати у своїй роботі у Вікіпедії.

Можна буде як дізнатися щось нове, так і поділитися своїм досвідом. Запрошую долучатися!

Wikimedia Foundation worked on evolving some of the growth features, primarily dedicated to the newcomers in our movement and communities. If you do not know, everyone can access them, activating them from Preferences (in the below of the page).

You can learn about these features here.

CEE Hub is contacting you (patrollers/admins) directly as we would like to bring to your attention two of these features that we think can be useful for your community: Mentorship and Community Updates.

We noticed that the majority of the CEE language editions of Wikipedia does not have active one of these features, so we are encouraging you to check whether your wiki has these features and if not to begin community discussion if you want to introduce them to your editors. If you want to check it, you need to go to the Special:CommunityConfiguration page on your wiki, where all of the growth features are listed.
