法律政策專員 [ 1] Solicitor General of Hong Kong ），香港政權移交 前中文名為律政專員（法律政策）[ 2] ，是香港特別行政區 律政司 （政權移交前為香港律政署）法律政策科的負責人，負責制定法律政策，並就法律問題向律政司司長 （政權移交前為律政司）提供建議，並監管該部門的工作人員及立法計劃。
香港律政專員（法律政策） （Solicitor General）的職位是在二戰 結束後設立的。[ 3] 律政司 （Attorney General，今為律政司司長）的副手，並定期出庭。
1979年，設立了法律草擬專員（Law Draftsman）、民事檢察專員（Crown Solicitor，現為民事法律專員）及刑事檢控專員 （Crown Prosecutor）的職位，並取消了律政專員（法律政策）的職位。該職位於1981年恢復，並由它負責法律政策。[ 4]
1999年，《法律適應化修改條例》（Adaption of Laws Ordinance ）具追溯力 （至1997年7月1日）的適應化修訂將「律政專員（法律政策）」更名為「法律政策專員」，英文名稱不變。[ 5]
律政司司長 現由六名律政專員 協助，分別為：[ 6]
民事法律專員 ［Law Officer (Civil Law)］，負責民事法律科，前為民事檢察專員（Crown Solicitor）刑事檢控專員 刑事檢控科 ，英文名前為Crown Prosecutor法律草擬專員 ［Law Draftsman］，負責法律草擬科國際法律專員 ［Law Officer (International Law)］，負責國際法律科維護國家安全檢控專員 ［Law Officer (National Security)］，負責維護國家安全檢控科法律政策專員 ［Solicitor General］，負責憲制及政治事務科，前為律政專員（法律政策）另有：
政務專員 ［Director of Administration and Development］，負責政務及發展科，並向六個律政專員及他們負責的法律科別提供一般支援
現任法律政策專員是黃惠沖（Wesley Wong Wai-chung），他於2015年9月獲委任。
根據2015年律政司招聘啟事上所稱，該職位的薪酬為每月201,950港元（高於2000年的162,650港元），連同住房津貼、「假期通行津貼」及其他福利。[ 7]
