சுமென்க்கரே (Smenkhkare) என்பதன் பொருள் இரா கடவுளின் வீரியமானது ஆத்மா என்பதாகும். அமர்னா காலத்தில் பார்வோன் அக்கெனதெனுக்குப் பிறகு பண்டைய எகிப்தை ஆண்ட புது இராச்சியத்தை ஆண்ட பதினெட்டாம் வம்சத்தின் பார்வோன் ஆவார். சுமென்க்கரேவைப் பற்றிய வரலாற்றுக் குறிப்புகள் அதிகம் கிடைக்கப்பெறவில்லை.
